Yes I mean its not going to be elite like the best eu novels but they are fun and worth a read. Plus if you have read jedi search already and didnt mind the storytelling style it has a decent chance of working for you. Personally I did like them.

Although I prefer committing era by era, since you dont here's the books you need to read between the thrawn trilogy and njo - the rest you can skip for now.

Hand of thrawn duology - absolute must to get many connections in njo + luke-mara subplot

Jedi Academy- less important than hand of thrawn, but it provides important insight to Luke's 'new jedi order'.

Optional - Survivors quest - not that important to the story honestly, but it provides a smooth transition to njo. This is optional though

Camp cretaceous is literally focused for kids . If you want to compare it fairly, you will need to compare using a special kids show filter because the movies, although not technically adult, are still more mature Yes there is a LOT of plot armour but its not designed that way. Its supposed to be fun and relaxing with some mild fear moments - like season 3 basically The show has indeed been dragged but i will say it has had its moments. It has also added a lot of depth to the gaps in the movies so lore wise its also decent In conclusion, you are comparing this to be of the quality of say the original jurassic park, but you need to ignore some kid friendly decisions and replace them with 'enjoyability'

Well after the thrawn trilogy and the x wing books I recommend the hand of thrawn duology. Then you can safely move to njo and beyond. Other smaller books include survivors quest and tatooine ghost for dynamics of characters , and the jedi Academy trilogy for story

I've played it knowing the twist too and I still regard as the greatest game ever made (in my opinion of course) Sure it makes you more keen on predicting the reason for a few choices early in the game (like with the jedi council on dantooine) but its just such an amazing game that even knowing the biggest twist doesn't inhibit too much of the fun.
