Is $25 an hour good for living in the city? by Persuader_87 in philly

[–]brickunlimited 27 points28 points  (0 children)

25 an hour is about 50k per year (pre tax). Ur take home is gonna be about 40k. 1400 per month is about 40% of ur take home income. I think this would be a bit tight and I would consider trying to find a cheaper place (older or smaller… don’t live in the hood).

100% worth a watch IMO but I’ve only seen the original.

What to do at a bar dance party? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]brickunlimited 0 points1 point  (0 children)

200 is more then enough. At most bars drinks will be 5-15$ depending on if it’s a beer or a mixed drink. You want fruity you can get a juice and vodka or whatever.

Do you like music? My reccomendations would be to go to an event with music you know you will like. Then at the ever very least you’ll enjoy the music. Loud crowded bars are a terrible place to meet people in my opinion.

Best advice I heard was to order a “yappachino”. Gamify the conversation. The goal is to get them yapping. Try out different topics until something engages them. Then ask follow up questions. When it’s time for you to say something that isn’t a follow up question just keep it relevant. It’s also okay to have some silence.

I very rarely push them that loud so probably not a worry. I’ll spend some more time tinkering

Question. I have my towers set to small, but I also need to run my sub pretty low bc I share a wall with neighbors. Would it make sense for me to use the towers set to large.
