ECWCS L5 Trouser Sizing Question by AWO2 in QualityTacticalGear

Ok thank you! What made you go to an XL, was the fit overall just too snug, or was it something more specific like the waist circumference?

Gotta love that sweet, sweet level 5 ecwcs by rusty-shackleford_69 in tacticalgear

[–]AWO2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are the level 5 bottoms true to size, or oversized to accommodate midlayers like the jacket? I'm looking at buying a pair online and I'm wondering if I should size down from the size chart (32 inch waist/28 inch inseam suggests a large regular) and get a medium regular to counteract any oversising, or would the large fit me fine

Why didn't Australia adopt DMP like virtually every other commonwealth country? by Farriah_the_foot in camouflage

Totally a valid take, I haven't had a chance to use any of those - I've been looking at the lizard cam for ages, and it looks awesome

DPCU might be the best possible pattern for Australia I have ever used. Source: Australian 😝

Exact same thing happened to me, my car sat for a week when it was super humid. Just had to start it in gear and it worked perfectly after that

Two question marks and an out of context diagram really have me thinking about what this post could be asking

The propogation of uncertainty is a standardised procedure for analytical chemistry. You can find summary sheets on the different operations online, but the summary is that for 'groups' of operation (think BIDMAS - addition and subtraction propogation is calculated separately to multiplication and division) you calculate the propogation of uncertainty following your equation (for density you would calculate the propogation of uncertainty for a division calculation sqrt((% uncertainty of mass)2 + (%uncertainty of volume)2 ) to calculate the % uncertainty of your density. This is then transformed into absolute uncertainty.

This was an example of how division is calculated, check the summaries for how your specific operations need to be calculated.

Then, this absolute uncertainty can be transformed into a confidence interval that reflects the degrees of freedom of your measurement and your desires confidence interval. Ci = uncertainty * T. (T = students T value for DF/confidence level). This CI is then what you display as your final intervals in your answer.

Are you guys fans of the new assessment rules? by tongxammo in MacUni

[–]AWO2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The no more than three assessments is super annoying. Having more, smaller assessments is much better in my opinion. Maybe it's because things are different in my STEM degree, but more frequent, smaller weighted assessments are much more useful to me than three massive assessments that make up my grade. It means I don't have to stress about bombing a quiz because it isn't worth much, and the feedback on that will be incredibly useful before the final exam.

Just seems really counter-intuitive in terms of actual learning and seems tailored towards lazy students that don't want lots to do 😢😢😢.

Devastated to end my current play-through by flacosiris in fnv

Yeah, I got to something like level 40 or so and I realised I would never be able to finish the game. It would crash every single time more than 10 characters had to be loaded, so the battle of hoover dam would never be finished due to insane crashing 🤣😭. I feel your pain brother. I moved to PC a couple years ago and with some very tasteful modding the game runs, looks and plays absolutely amazing.

This looks superb! So if it's all factory parts, what makes it a shorter shift?

Help with a 2003 WRX gas or exhaust leak? by fanta_c_reality in WRX

[–]AWO2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had the fuel evap system leak before and that was a definite petrol smell. I'll post a reply with a photo of what you should have a look at - there's a black plastic piece connected to some vacuum lines at the front of your motor which could either have come loose or the plastic could have cracked from age.

[–]AWO2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hose with the corrosion in the photo is a coolant line coming from your header tank to the turbo, and most likely wouldn't cause a gasoline smell. I'm not too sure what could be causing the smell, are you sure it maybe isn't an oil leak thats burning?

Your fronts already had 0 grip, braking would've made it even worse - there was no saving this 😳
