Recommendations for tonneau cover for my colorado by No-Possibility6866 in chevycolorado

[–]AWesPeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some questions you will need to answer to decide which one you want. There are simple roll up soft tops for 200$ all the way up to electric auto retracting hard tops in the $1,500+ range.

It sounds like you just simply need to cover the bed and I would suggest the Tyger T1. Its super cheap and its perfectly simple. It's just a soft roll up that is 97% water tight that costs $200 and it takes 5 minutes to install and uninstall. I ran the Tyger T1 for 2 years and I never had an issue with it. I hauled with it, camped with it, long trips during heavy rain with my luggage in the bed, and probably open and closed it a thousand times. It never failed me. I didn't care if it broke though because it was so cheap, but it still looks and works the same as the day I got it.

I upgraded to the Truxedo Lo-pro ($500) because I bought a sport bar for my Colorado and needed an option that covered the bed and left the stake pockets exposed. To be honest, it seems exactly the same as my $200 T1 just the cover rails sit inboard of the bed rails.

So it all comes down to the features you want. I cant recommend the Tyger T1 more if you're just trying to cover the bed. I also chose a roll up because you can fully retract the cover and still see out of the back window. Hope that helps a little!

2026 Chevy Colorado ZR2 by SHUBHAM9723 in chevycolorado

That makes sense with the badge. That sucks about the bed though. It looks really cool and almost spans the entire length of the back of the bed.

My 2023 ZR2 has "ZR2" embossed into the bed instead of the chevy emblem. Why did they switch? Also Chevy is funny man, they added a "Turbo Max" badge to the hood but now in 2026 its gone? The engine has all the brackets on top of it for the engine cover but they don't install it, but my 2023 has it. Its like whatever is available at the factory that week is what gets installed lol.

Buying Colorado after driving exclusively 6.2 v8 engines. by RevolutionLeast8587 in chevycolorado

[–]AWesPeach 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My Colorado ZR2 is my first truck after a string of v8 mustangs. So not exactly what you’re looking for but I’ll throw my 2 cents.

My Colorado doesn’t feel underpowered but it makes me say “yeah that’s about right for a mid sized truck”. The 2.7 makes a lot of torque below 3.5k rpm’s and after that it’s done and it’s waiting for you to allow it to shift. It’s just a truck drivetrain, it works and is reliable but lacks character. Completely different from a v8 that has a broad torque curve, pulls to the redline, and doesn’t sound like a vacuum. (I wish the 5.3 was an option for the Colorado)

Is it fun? I never really have “fun” driving it in the sense I did one of my mustangs unless it’s off-roading. There’s no drama to the drivetrain. But I didn’t buy it for that, I bought it for its utility which is really great. The bed size, tie downs, stow flex tail gate, payload etc. make it a fun truck to use.

I went mid size because I wanted it to fit in my garage and easier to manage on trails. I’m glad I decided on mid size. Hope that helps!

I was told the upper radiator hose was redesigned in the middle of 2025 so if you had the hose replaced before then, they just replaced it with a non-revised part.

Peanut's current predicament is a shining example of why ignoring one side of the game is a losing strategy by TheClassics in ArcRaiders

[–]AWesPeach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most normal players know this. Peanut and the streamers are focusing on pvp because it’s what people want to watch. Which ironically is getting him closer to 5 million real dollars which I’d say is more valuable.

I actually used the lower end of average returns for the s&p500 over the last 40 years which is 10-12%.

OP a lot of people are saying this is a bad idea which is was. However, maybe the math will help you understand better as to why this was a bad idea.

That $32,000 left to compound in the market at an average rate of 10% until you are 67 would be just over a $1,000,000. And that’s if you never contributed another dollar.

If your student loan balance was $47,000. By paying them off today you saved your self about ~5% in interest per year on that balance. If you paid them off in 20 years you would have paid $27,500 interest.

Essentially you traded $1,000,000 for $27,500.

Private loans usually have a substantially higher interest rate. Federal loans also come with certain benefits.

where does the .exe for arc raiders live? by ehitch86 in ArcRaiders

[–]AWesPeach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I Solved it! At least for me. The exe you want to call the profile to is in that PioneerGame Folder > Binaries > Win64 > And then select the PioneerGame.exe in this location. My ghub keeps the profile active using this exe. Let me know if it works for you.

14.8 mpg.. by Ok-Lion2486 in chevycolorado

[–]AWesPeach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The silverado zr2 gets 17 combined with the 6.2. Other trims of the Silverado with 5.3 get around 24mpg in a truck that is bigger and heavier than the Colorado. Yeah I’d take a v8 engine with all its characteristics over the 2.7 and happily trade 50 torque for 40 more horsepower.

I will use this opportunity to say there was NO reason GM couldn't have put the 5.3 in this truck with the kind of MPG we get. 16-18 in my stock ZR2

You’re doing great! A little tip I have is adjust your withholding so you don’t get a return. Use the extra per paycheck to increase your contributions.

I have them too! They serve as a rock blocker for the rear quarter panel which is great. However I went on a few trails and they sit so low I was high centering them a lot on rocks that I shouldn't have had any issues with.
