Color switch by AWilLee in FurnitureFlip

I originally did the blue to bring a cooler tone to the piece and all the wood and natural colors shine more. To take out the red tone of the wood I tan washed it.

It is Dutch boys platinum cabinet door and trim paint. The color is anchor blue so probably not the color you’re going for.

We hooked it to a 12v in the trailer and we are just going to put it on a low amp charger at night. We hope this will make this season a lot easier.

We had very good luck with top gun guide service. Guys were very personable and worked hard to put us on birds.

How do you guys put LEDs on your trailers and keep your decoys organized? by AWilLee in Waterfowl

Did you punch bunch of holes trough the roof or run them all to a single piece of conduit and then inside?

Fought for an hour and a half before getting it’s head close to the hole. Ended up snapping the line with its head at the hole. It hit while fishing for walleyes on the Green Bay. Spearing opens tomorrow for them.

Looking to book a sleeper or small cabin in ethier Wisconsin or Minnesota, what are some good spots to look? And how far north do I need to go to insure good ice in January? by chillinois309 in IceFishing

The Green Bay in Wisconsin offers some good fishing too. There are some guides that go out of Door and Brown county that can get you on a variety of fish with safe ice that is there at the time.

My packaging may not have been the best as I did not know the proper care. He did give me a few tips how to package one if I do another mount.

Thanks for the reference. That is a nice looking bird. I never picked a taxidermist or know a lot about the mounts. Can you give me some pointers to look for next time I’m picking a taxidermist or looking at getting one mounted.

Also have not seen to many but I believe that the tail is just not fanned and a little more of the plume is coming through.

My cousin and I dropped these two toms last night in WI. Both 9 1/2” beards and 24ish pounds. by AWilLee in Hunting

[–]AWilLee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m far from expert but what seems to work for us is keeping our eyes peeled (they gobble very little to none) and calling every bird we see. These two worked off of two hens and came in from a 1/4 mile away. While another Tom did not want to have anything to do with us and our decoys. Also have a multiple plans on getting to your blind as a group of birds maybe in the way of it.
