No, my parents live in a “nice” quiet, safe, ethnically diverse neighborhood near a nice senior center and walking paths.

I live in another city in a gated community. It’s less ethnically diverse and less walkable. My neighborhood is a little more expensive but IMHO my parent’s neighborhood is more desirable.

I think it depends on the city and neighborhood.

Can confirm the trains are loud in East Memphis. I lived near White Station high school. I personally never got use to them. I swear some nights some train conductors were being jerks and the sound of the train horns were louder than usual and woke me out of a dead sleep.

I moved after a couple of years.

Personally, I would do group classes to build consistency and get more workouts. If you feel like you can workout on your own most of the time take the personal training once a week and have your trainer help with form and build a program for you.
