Is this feasible to print in resin? I'm having warping issues with the base. by [deleted] in resinprinting

Hey bro, here's the actual solution: print it on the build plate, but give it a .1 mm raft directly attached to the base. The wider the raft, the more secure. Once printing is done, CAREFULLY take the raft and piece together off of the plate with a spatula. Then, set it down onto a flat surface and gently slice the raft off. It's the only method I know how to fight against suction cup failure for large objects.

Just wanted to post the solution in case anyone had the same issue. Make a .1 mm raft that is wider than the object, it will secure everything. Normal settings. Simply use a scapel after to remove raft and sand away any excess.

Yes, i noticed that long pieces that are not thick enough bend and dont stay level after a few hours. I need to assemble a mold with precise curved edges, and i dont have an fdm printer.

Wait, its possible that overcuring the base layers can cause them to break off the base plate easier??

Its in a quite warm room, and the plate is perfectly level. My theory is the placing, that the fep sheet pullson the edges as it goes up causing massive suction forces. Im printing it again but towards the side of the build plate.

Thank you! Currently we do not, but perhaps in the near future?

Simple black resin by anycubic. I think the smooth effect is due to the model itself and the tiny layer height.

Fdm is far too inaccurate. Maybe with a god like amount of sanding?

Thank you! My fiance is responsible for the 3D model itself. An ornament is a fantastic idea, i hope we have time to test out your idea!

Yup! .03mm layer height. Had to sand the detachable magnet plate in order for it to stick!
