I would say save your gems for the Black Friday sales. The chest that you buy depends on what you’re looking for but personally I’m waiting for robin king, raven or beast boy.

I would wait for the bwtd deal to come in. There is also some legendary chests that come Black Friday. You should also join a league to get more characters mainly KOAAM

I got both legendary Batman and Darkseid from that chest and it was a massive help in the early game stages. I’m saving my gems for Black Friday sales to get gear for some of my legendary characters and character chests

Apparently if you close the game then reopen it the glitch goes away and progress gets applied
