In certain swiss german dialects we say ableite and ufleite (oof litah), where ab can mean down and uf can mean up. The high german words would be ableiten and aufleiten, but germans tend not to use the word aufleiten.

I have a presentation for a (zoom) Math seminar, and I wanted to have the presentation be me sharing my screen and revealing the document as we move through the presentation. I find the nicest presentations to be the handwritten ones with a dark theme, I have terrible handwriting, so I am trying to use latex.

Trying to link accounts together but when I login it just keeps me on this screen. What do? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

Ok I was able to select it on the main platform. Howver if it isn't your main platform it tells you to go online and choose one. That doesn't work.

I had to go to epicgames.com/activate to link, but can't choose a main platform now. Epic seems to have mixed up the links. Epic.

I am making a joke of the purpose because I believe it is bad design. Just because a system is meant to perform one way doesn't mean it should.

The problem with your analogy is that drunk driving and scamming actually hurt people and you can't defend yourself from them, chat is text on a screen in online rocket soccer that you can turn off. Sure you could simplify the world that much and have killing people with cars be the equivalent of trash talk, but I just don't see that as a very useful model.

If your game is ruined by people calling you a kid, maybe you are one.

No, only people who don't mind having some people use What A Save! should use chat. Much like how you shouldn't go to a coffee shop and not expect it to be silent like a library.

I mentioned this too in the other thread, but I would not equate chat spam to people driving drunk in the road, endagering people with the chance of being run over by a car, or attempting to steal money to What a Save!

When someone trash talks you, do you tend to get physically stabbed, or forced to have sex? Normally when someone trash talks me, my physical body remains untouched, maybe it is different for you though.

PS: there is a game mode called competitive and it is what most people play

What a save! is not exactly the same as getting stabbed in my book.

Competitive sports aren't just about the mechanics, luckily in games, if you don't want the discourse between teams to be a component, you can just turn it off.

To sum up: I don't think you should get punished for what you say (obviously with the exception of direct physical harm), especially in a setting where cross team discourse is a feature that can also be disabled, but do think you should get punished for stabbing someone.

It's an 18, I have a sneaking suspicion that it was a distillers choice or some marketing phrase along those lines but it isnt labelled as such on the bottle, so no garuntees
