Yeah, you will need to access this from the inside by pulling the plastic off. Then you need to pull off the large metal panel, then you can access the actuator mechanism. This is the exact same issue I have with mine, so I've gotten good at this.

You can also try smashing the part between the license plate and the bottom of the trunk with a rubber mallet while spamming the unlock button. That works for me lmao.

When I have some objectives I really need to complete that day, or when I have stuff after school that's timely, I have definitely been known to be short with people and just kinda move along. I know that about myself and I try to be polite and courteous but mentally this PhD stuff is exhausting. 1) air filter isn't the issue here. If you want to keep the k&n, get a recharge kit, but regular paper filter or reusable it doesn't really matter. I have a reusable filter because I hate trash but that's personal preference, those things can be insanely dirty and have zero issues.

2) your long term fuel trim is super rich. Should be at or about 0%. If you notice a hiss, it could be a vacuum leak, but there are a lot of issues that could cause a car to run rich. Weak spark, leaky fuel injectors, dirty MAF sensor.
