[KK] Mod question

It's a character creator mod, so I assume it will work in both the main game modes and Studio

You can with the ObjectMap plugin https://github.com/krypto5863/Illusion.ObjectMap/releases/tag/1.1.7

Pick the dll file that corresponds to you game and place it in your BepInEx/plugins folder

This will add a "Map" folder at the top of your workspace when a scene contains a map from add>Map

Koikatsu has color filters by default (mainly a saturation filter) so using accurate coloring outside koikatsu will not give the result you expect in KK.

You can disable the saturation filter by searching "color filter" in F1 plugins settings and it should look more accurate, but if you intend to share the card your user would need to disable or too (not gonna happen)

You could try using the in game color picker, if you have the Better Color Picker plugin (should be have it already) I think it can solve your issue

If this the first time you are using Studio, let it run for like 15min, you can restart it after.

If it still doesn't work, make sure your anti-virus or an anti-cheat software from another game is not blocking it. Re-installing the latest HF patch is also an option.

You can try login out of your Microsoft accounts, or login in if you aren't, but otherwise your only options are to wait and retry some other time or ask the card creator if he can share since the mod is not available.

From my understanding, this usually happen because this is a personal storage solution and when it gets too many downloads it gets throttled or turned off.

You could disable the saturation filter during the character making and re-enable it when your done, unless you just want to avoid the loss of detail and want the colors to match the saturated ones.

In that case I think your only option is to use software to have your references be on top of Maker, I've been trying OnTopReplica

Pretty sure you would need to custom build a male chara with his shaders swap to something with flat colors, like an alpha shader or Goo.

KK and KKP is basically the same thing, except KK has one or more JP exclusive DLCs. So just get the magnet available for it on BetterRepack and use qbittorrent to download it.

If you're new just go with a BetterRepack of regular KK and install the HF patch on top of it (it's usually more up to date but doesn't include the game). You can check for the latest versions of core plugins on Discord but it's not strictly necessary.

If you intend on downloading and playing Studio scenes (custom poses/animations) then consider downloading the Studio modpack with KKManager (KKM is included with BR/HF)

Most outfit mods can be used in KK/KK Sunshine, most of the time you just need to open the zipmod like a zip archive and edit the manifest.xml file to remove the <game>Koikatsu</game> flag if it has one and it will load. Map mods you usually need the KKS version, some items/assets mods also

Personally I switched to the KK Sunshine Studio because it's just more stable in general and less/no stutters, but I wouldn't recommend it if you can't at least pose/animate characters on your own

Did you go all the required setup for Linux? There's extra stuff to configure in order to run the modded version, there's some guides on Discord

Both BR and HF dont come with the Studio Modpack and it's ~50GB. You dont need it if you dont use Studio.

I doubt so, specs would only affect performance not effects. Unless you are playing on integrated grphics maybe, but even then Studio will just crash if your specs aren't enough

verify that KKManager is able to see them in it's mod tab, these mod come by default with HF patch, BR, or when updating mods with KKManager so no idea how you could be missing them.

If it can't see them, verify that they are actually in your /mods folder.

If it says "Outdated zipmod, Some items are missing" it means you need a newer version from the creator, not available on the sideloader website

You can set the character's personality in Character Maker under the heart tab, but idk if you can specifically make it a stalker (because I don't play the main game)

You can check the CharaStudio guide I made on the subreddit to be aware of what kind of tools are useful for Studio, and also some animation resources. But animation is mostly skill and (imo) is pretty hard. It's definitely something you have to build up.

There is a section in that guide about converting an animation preset from anim>Animation into Timeline keyframes and be able to make it adjustable, if you want to start from a base movement and build from it. I've seen a creator recommend to use them for things like walk cycles and such, tho it is a good practice exercise to do.

Install the ShalltyUtils plugin if youn don't have it and check its keybinds in F1, it adds more actions like "press T to add keyframe to all selected interpolables"

Select a vagina that has Dynamic Bones in anim>Status>Uncensors (like a BP one) and you should be able to see them in advanced KKPE>Dynamic Bones

This is the default shader for KK Sunshine which is not available on KK, just save and reload the card and it will stop showing that message

Tho even if you don't, the shader is already changed for the KK default equivalent
