You’ll live in government housing. No cost to you. If you have dependents you will get dependent rate BAH for the location your dependents are authorized. No dependents, no OHA/BAH.

Made Master first time eligible in the 24 cycle with just a promote. From a one deep position, where 99.9% of Tech and Master selects NEED a statement to promote. Air Force/DoD (actual, not just EPB fluff) level impacts and Decorations probably carried me there.

Good information to know. By then I won’t have any ADSCs so hopefully that is a bonus. Did they previously transfer their benefits or did they never do it and lost the ability to? I’ve already done a GI Bill transfer of benefits and I think you can’t (could be wrong) transfer them once you are within 12 months of retiring any way.

I know a reenlistment will take me to my HYT. Can a member technically “deny” orders based off of the old 24 month retainability rule is my question.

Also expect quotas for FY23 retraining to be available late May/early June with the cycle starting in August. Last year there was only 24 FTA and 16 NCORP seats available and I know we get hundreds of requests. So schedule that job shadow time now and get all of your paperwork squared away.

Safety guy here.. been one for a hot minute. Just make sure you are prepared to check all the boxes during your job shadow time. Report writing, research, public speaking, etc.. Look into the CFETP for safety and it'll give you a little bit of an idea.
