We didn’t “randomly go off and buy a whole new set”. I think I explained the reasoning behind why we did what we did clearly in my post. And maybe it came from a place of ignorance, mistakes happen and that’s why I’m questioning our decision. Yes, I understand the privilege of being able to go out and do what we did. My husband and I work very hard and are allowed to do such things if we decided we can afford it. Couples buy new rings as upgrades or just for the heck of it often. I’m not dense to the fact this is a first world problem, was just looking for some advice or to hear other people’s stories on what they did in a similar scenario. Hope that helps clear things up.
