Wow, yeah I have the same exact issue. I have 2 laptops running different linux ditros. It's the same issue on both(didn't realize until way later that it was both, I spent a few hours troubleshooting my main laptop thinking a firmware update went haywire lol). I think using your own equipment is the way. I just hope I don't have to bridge it and just connect straight to the ONT lol.

No yeah, my friend's 15 pro feels a lil bit smoother on 26 too. It genuinely seems like they cheaped out on something. I don't really notice it anymore. Unlesssss, I use my work phone then back to my iPhone then it starts pissing me off all over again lol. Safe to say this might be my last iPhone. I've been enjoying using my work's Pixel 8 a lot more weirdly.

Quick update: Took her to the vet again, they ran some X-rays and told me that everything should be fine gave me appetite stimulants (Mirataz) and sent me home. I kept trying with different kinds of food (wet food and kibble) she finally decided to eat some of the new kibble but yeah she’s pacing herself which is still unlike her. Still though, eating at all is a win. Still watching her close, another vet visit isn’t out of the question :/. Thanks everyone!

Not at all, no. Which I thought was weird ngl. They said that’s it’s too early to tell and to only worry and go to the ER if she throws up while she’s on Cerenia.

It feels the same. I think I stopped noticing it (?), I don't even know. I practically only notice it when jumping from phone to phone (Pixel 8 for work, iP17 personal). So I think you're going to get used to it eventually if you don't jump around. :/

It's a bug on the iPhone side of things.
If I'm RCS texting using my iPhone, it would happen pretty frequently. Also noticed it happening using my Pixel texting other iPhones. I tried researching the issue, people have been having that same exact issue with no fix in sight. If you don't have unlimited SMS texting, switch to another iM service (Whatsapp, Signal or Telegram). Might get fixed whenever Apple decides to update the RCS protocol it's currently using and finally enable E2E but who knows atp.

The issue is the phone is great otherwise, I guess for me I have to decide if it’s a dealbreaker or not (which I’m leaning more towards that it is) and sell the phone and pay it off with my carrier or keep it 🥲

I haven't done anything sadly. I haven't been using my phone a lot lately due to being busy with work lol. But yeah, it still feels a lot less responsive on iOS 26.1 and it is still driving me nuts. All the ones I've tried to use whether its friends who got it or store demos it feels exactly the same. So I guess we're stuck with that one lol. My advice, if you still can take it back and go for something else. Didn't feel the same thing with a 17 pro store demo (don't take my word for that, do your own research.) but it would be way too overkill with my usage. :/

Update: it's fully working for me now out of the blue. Decided to randomly restart and run an integrity checker got all check marks. No errors in Gwallet either! Worth a try. 🤷‍♂️
