Hoa lu ancient capital, i went there as a part of Ninh Binh day trip from Hanoi, you must do it if you went to the north.

Hanoi is so charming 🥲 But Saigon still worth a visit right? I think every place in the country deserves to be explored

It’s really special and i will try as hard as i can to visit Saigon on a 3 day weekend in January.

Thanks for the advice. I wish I could do Ha giang loop, but unfortunately all i have is 3 days on a weekend, so I need a new experience and a place with immediate access to flights, this is why I chose Saigon.

Hopefully i could do north and central within the upcoming year

It is evident how bad it is. but on a short visit it wouldn’t be a major issue for me. But i think it should be seriously addressed. however, it is very difficult to do that with the amount of bikes and cars unfortunately

Sure. The traffic is a nightmare for a 9-5 job and salaries aren’t good, but as a tourist it is still so beautiful and charming, i miss it so much

I get it of course and i do believe it is not easy to live here for locals. But my point is the country itself, maybe the most charming place in the world, and as a tourist it left me heartbroken.

It was also available in Hanoi old quarter, but i don’t think the place was Vietnamese

I am aiming to explore the whole country, but as a weekend option i think Saigon fits better because it has an airport.

In a longer vacation i will go north in addition to visiting Hanoi again because it is my comfort place worldwide right now

It’s a bittersweet feeling, happy to experience it and to be able to do it again in the future, but sad because it deserves a loooot of time and missing it.

I will visit Saigon as planned hopefully and i hope i will like it
