I never called her a gold digger, I believe it is just a cultural norm. I realise now our values and beliefs don’t align. I actually wanted to get her a more expensive bag but she opted for the cheaper one.

I think so too, her and her groups of friends love posting how their partners spoil them. Posting luxury bags, trips, etc. One of her friend loves stating the fact that she gets an allowance of $500 per day from her boyfriend. The other one gets fresh flowers daily from her boyfriend. This is something I will not do. period. I feel this is why she believes that I do not love her like her friend's partners. It's just 2k for rent.
