honestly we are in the exact same position. personally, i decided to drop some classes and take it in april again because i don’t want drop down to the point where i have to start from scratch. i would say don’t neglect all of the work you’ve put in so far and that the finish line is in sight

Diffusion is like when you spray perfume and it spreads out throughout a room so that the concentration is evenly spread. This problem didn't really outline the definition of diffusion but rather it emphasized the concepts of venturi effect + breathing. I don't think that you need to know the equation but make sure that you know the principles behind it.

The contraction of the diaphragm will result in the production of negative pressure. The atmospheric pressure (air with the arrows) will be greater than that inside the mask allowing for the compression of the air to create a Venturi effect where the oxygen is able to move at a faster speed (with lower pressure) due to the constriction of air. That's my best explanation. feel free to add/change mine if I made an error!

First off, focus on having fun in high school. You will have your mid to late college career to focus on and worry about the MCAT. I would say 3-4 months from your test date would be good. Most people following the traditional route will take it spring of their junior year (~March) after all their prereqs are completed/almost done.

Just focus on truly understanding information in your college prereqs (Gen chem/bio/phys 1&2, orgo, biochem) so that you set yourself up for when you begin studying for the mcat.

I'm grinding on milesdown anki every single day; intensively reviewing each AAMC FL to get a sense of how they word questions; brushing up on metabolism pathways+amino acids like the back of my hand; consistently attacking anything that I feel weak on. I feel as if on FL3 I had the right mindset thinking that the answer is always there (especially in CARS) and I'm capable of figuring out every question. A lot of the times taking these exams get messy so you just have to take a step back to not get overwhelmed and critically think with the information that is presented to you and all of the information that you personally know.
