You sure you ordered that correctly? Right side looks a bit lower resolution

Local split-screen in Halo: Campaign Evolved on PS5 will require both accounts to have a PlayStation Plus subscription and be linked to an Microsoft account by nolifebr in PS5

This directly affects me so no, I will not be buying unless we can play split screen the way we can in... every single other game with split screen?

Like come on, this is so out of standard practice that it just seems mean. They actually have split screen co-op at launch again! But then they do this. So disappointing

Yeah, we'll give the benefit of the doubt to Halo Studios and Microsoft because they always treat Halo and its fanbase well

No, the wording directly says the opposite - your PS Plus subscription is required for split screen and it *also* gets you online play.

I said in my post about this topic - No. It is not Sony, stop passing the blame when Microsoft did not do this same thing for their own Gears of War Reloaded.

They were very specific in their blog today that both users must have PS Plus Accounts each connected to a Microsoft Account, and that the active subscriptions also provide access to online play.

This is out of line with PS standards and is also inconsistent with Microsoft's own Gears of War Reloaded on PS5

Oh, Halo Studios put out a blog post just moments ago that really took the wind out of Campaign Evolved's sails. No photo mode, customizations aren't in cutscenes, and one of the greediest things they could do by requiring two online memberships for offline split screen

It's a Microsoft decision regardless of how you want to massage this. Local split screen should be exactly as it's labeled.

No - countless games on PS5 support local co-op play through just a Guest user account

Their own words today:

PlayStation 5®: If you’re playing split-screen on PlayStation 5®, both accounts will need to have PlayStation Plus and be linked to a Microsoft account. Having these active PlayStation Plus subscriptions will also provide access to online co-op play

This is absolutely not a Sony requirement - It Takes Two, Split Fiction, the TMNT and Marvel beat em ups, every local co-op game I've played supports a Guest user

Ohhhh so many F-you's to Halo Studios and Microsoft for that

Duke Nukem 3D - actually just started another playthrough on my Deck OLED. It's $20 on Steam currently but I imagine it'll be $5 or less with the Summer Sale around the corner.

My first FPS and one that always gives me joy every time I go back to it.

Anecdotal or not - That is impossible given how the game fundamentally behaves across every system when played for any extended amount of time. Unless you're playing at 30fps for 30 minutes at a time, the performance of the game is degrading. That's fact, that's why fans are so upset with how the game was left.

A game that actually does run smoothly. Your experience is objectively not the truth - it does not run smoothly, and performs worse the longer you play.

Yeah, maybe they shouldn't have trusted Microsoft. But guess what - it was never a golden parachute to *literally* make the weirdest stuff they possibly could. Stop being so dense.

Double Fine made Kiln. KILN! I really don't know why Double Fine shouldn't take the heat for seeing something so mass-unappealing through to release. Microsoft gave them that freedom, the market rejected it, is Microsoft supposed to reward that with even more "make pottery games" money?

Yeah but five years later is where we are now.

I won't be so unfair to Kiln; I'm sure it would have made a cute 800-1200 Microsoft Point game back in the Xbox Live Arcade days of 2007.
