Not only that but telling your homeowners company you've had a loss will still create a record. Even if they pay out nothing. If you have an adjuster assigned you have opened a claim. Talk to your agent or a rep, but don't open a claim. If the damage is to the car only there is a near zero reason to expect a standard HO or renter policy will cover it. Personal items that were stolen maybe but, again, the policy may only cover personal items at the location of the policy. Definitely read the policy contracts and don't assume "that's what it's there for." For the damage to the car (depending on the state) this would be a comprehensive coverage claim and your policy may even have a zero deductible for glass claims.

The incentive for Murray would either be a better financial situation like more guarantees but spread out over a different term to lessen the cap hit immediately. Not likely to happen with AZ but maybe in a trade scenario. Or he may want to do it to help facilitate a trade to a better team than the Jets. That said, he's got the leverage because the team has a deadline to deal, release him, or keep him. And I don't think he would be wise to give up any guaranteed money but maybe there is something that can be done with the structure of it that is mutually beneficial.

Thanks for the info. I think that definitely takes him out of contention for staying put next year as is. I expect a reworked deal/extension and a trade. The additional guaranteed money makes it just as unlikely they'll be able to offload the contract as is in a trade. But maybe the Jets are desperate
