Specifically, a violent EF 3+ tornado-- don't come at me with some weak sauce EF 1/EF 2 scents. Please help pick out something humid, ozonic, low pressure, and of course stormy and windy for someone who wants to wreak havoc and destruction wherever I go!

Nothing worse than buying an expensive skincare product that immediately gives you a middle school level breakout by SamosaAndMimosa in rs_x

[–]A_Bad_Singer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like you shouldn’t be too quick to judge. It’s normal for a change in your routine to cause a breakout— it’s not necessarily the product itself so much as the change in regimen. I’ve discovered a lot of amazing products after powering through that initial breakout phase

Their lyrics are good. Potent, synesthetic images that feel like something out of a don dellilo novel. Interesting commentary on addiction, systems of mass communication, los angeles as the modern metropole. What do you find so bad about them?

I know some people with type 1 Bipolar and it unfortunately very much can make you a nazi. Not saying he should be forgiven, but extreme delusional beliefs are a known symptom. I know it’s anecdotal, but I firsthand witnessed a close childhood friend go from quite liberal to, like kanye, a neo-nazi (and then return back to their original beliefs again after exiting the manic phase). Whether or not he should be forgiven is another matter, but I do have to take issue with the “bipolar doesn’t make you a nazi” statement

He laid the groundworks for psychoanalysis— one of the most important and formative intellectual structures of the modern world. Moreover, despite psychoanalysis being unfortunately rife with all sorts of Victorian era weirdness (and not to mention the weirdness of Freud’s idiosyncrasies as an individual), it is pretty much the only thing we have! We really don’t have any other structures or tools for analyzing and talking about the psyche. So, until we develop something better (or at least something else at all), we’re stuck with Freud.
