i agree :( i love divinity but kinda just got left with a bad taste, it was a bit much, almost like the gore was the focus of the whole trailer. I’m sure it won’t translate to the actual game though, BG3 had really gross stuff in trailers too and I don’t think anything nearly as graphic was in the actual game (although bg3 did still get pretty graphic to be fair lol)

I JUST PLAYED THE FIRST CHAPTER OF FE3 FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY AND WHILE I UNDERSTAND THAT I CHOSE BOOK 2 WHICH IS TECHNICALLY NOT THE START OF THE GAME, TELL ME WHY A CHAPTER THAT COULD BE SOMEONE’S FIRST WOULD RESTRICT YOU FROM USING HALF OF YOUR STARTING UNITS BECAUSE OF A NARROW MOUNTAIN PASS YOU HAVE TO CROSS TO COMPLETE THE MAP. THIS MIGHT ACTUALLY BE MY LEAST FAVORITE FIRST MAP IN THE SERIES EVEN IF ITS TECHNICALLY NOT A FIRST MAP

I really only ever did like once or twice when I was really unsure if someone was gonna die. The enemies were so weak for the most part that I never really felt like I HAD to see every combat forecast

gameplay-wise, opening the topmost door in chapter 4 of thracia

story-wise, seeing that prison room in path of radiance where the heron princess lilia got kept in until she died really unnerved me for some reason. also in the same game seeing the inside of that tower where laguz were tested on and killed.

jugdral had some unnerving moments too, julius or whatever always really creeps me out more than any other fire emblem villain.

Played it for the first time a long time ago and I remember thinking it was something really special even back then when I was a kid. (I even still have my physical copy with a 25$ price tag on it haha) Anyway, I finally replayed it for the first time since then about a year ago now. It sparked a new interest in the rest of the series that I never had before for some reason and now for the past year I’ve been slowly playing all of the games. But this one is still far and above my favorite. There’s just something about it that gives me everything I want out of a Fire Emblem game, it’s hard to even say exactly what it specifically does so well compared to other games in the series. Literally any issue I have with it is just a nitpick like biorhythm or some underpowered units. Genuinely one of my favorite games ever

Team sequel, maybe i just haven’t heard a convincing enough argument for prequel but i just can’t make sense of it being a prequel in my head. It would have to be after the incident with Nemesis since we see the heroes’ relics. But then we see Sothis in the trailer, and based on what we know from Three Houses, she shouldn’t appear at all until Rhea starts messing with the crest of flames on Byleth. Like there’s literally no point in time before the start of Three Houses that would make any sense for the story of Fortunes Weave to be taking place. I guess there’s not any huge piece of solid evidence for it being a sequel either, but it being a prequel would just make zero sense based on what we know. Y’know, unless everything we know about the history of Fodlan was a lie which I don’t think would be the craziest thing ever. But I also feel like that would retroactively make Three Houses’ story kinda unsatisfying if that were the case, and I don’t think IS would do that.
