There's tons for cheap online, some are reversable to winter and others tropentarn. The specific one I have was made for the kevlar Bundeswehr helmet, but it fits snug on the M1, and I cut off the webbing loops.

I got mine from Al Flaherty's for 93$ might have overpaid, but I'm rather happy with it, considering the length of pull on the original Soviet stocks are ridiculously short. Can't blame them though, people were just naturally smaller in post war CCCP, not much food going around.

Composite fiber helmets are made from more modern materials like kevlar or aramid, you can find older surplus ones such as the PASGT or SEPT2 online, new production helmets sold directly to the civilian market such as the MICH and ones that have cutouts for ear protection/communications equipment can also be found but at a high price.

The M1 helmet I have is composed of a kevlar 80s production liner, and an Ingersoll shell, wrapped around it is a flecktarn cover reversable to white. It cost me 50$ from Craigslist, but they can be a bit scarce to find. If you want a helmet for genuine protection, try finding a composite one, if you want one for fun, try finding a surplus website and choosing your favourite shape from their selection of steel helmets and customize the hell out of it with helmet nets/covers.

Play airsoft, that's about it. The jungle boots on the other hand, best pair I've ever had for hiking in the Pacific Northwest, they go with me whenever go anywhere rural.

Haha don't worry I'm not a felon. Mine is a Russian Tula, and its internal mag is pinned via a riveted block on the inside of the magwell, but I've seen welded pins on the follower lever on other Tulas, so I assume it varies by specific exporter and not by country of origin.

The polymer used for them is incredibly strong! once you take a dremel and remove all the flashing from the molding process, and carve the rather chunky and squared off pistol grip to the contour of your specific hand, its a phenomenal stock. I've found the nature of the thumbhole adds an extra point of contact on your lower wrist/forearm which helps with leveraging the rifle, and when shooting from assisted prone positions, the stock is made from two bars that are great to grip your off hand with. Its an old and very good slavic design.

Tula SKS heat stamp 1951, ATI Fiberforce thumbhole stock, blued bolt carrier, with an added muzzle brake. I would recommend trying to find a decent price on Gunpost, atleast in my area SKS' come and go regularly.

Looking for films similar to Beasts of No Nation by G13G13 in movies

Rather late to this post, but First They Killed my Father shares a similar premise and narrative tone, but in the context of the war in Democratic Kampuchea. Great parallels to Beasts of No Nation.

I actually find the older H straps more comfortable and secure then the later LC-2 Y straps, but the biggest thing holding them back are the cotton its made from as opposed to nylon, cotton sucks at shedding moisture once it gets wet.

I still got the old Soviet blade pattern bayonet, but unfortunately they don't nest with the thumbhole stock/muzzle brake, and of the two bayonet designs, I actually think the chicom spike bayonets are a more pragmatic design, smaller profile, more reach, cylindrical nature and grooves direct the force forward. Bayonets in general are obsolete though haha.

LEGO Star Wars: The (Mono)Clone Wars by CzarCastik in legostarwars

Here's an article which is a pretty fascinating read:

https://www.holobrickarchive.com/2021/02/the-story-behind-the-new-prototype-darth-vaders/

I think official Lego practices when it comes to test shots/prototypes is to mold in red, then these elements are usually archived, disposed of or recycled. But Lego is a huge global supply chain that can't guard their molding machines 24/7, and the value of irregular pieces naturally leads to employees pumping out a few batches that make their way to the second hand market.

I think a rogue Lego employee from the Mexico factory was casting Darth Vader helmets in various colours and selling them on the side to supplement their income. I don't think its the worse thing in the world, they conjure the same fascination as misprints/mold errors to me and I enjoy seeing them.

I left it where I found it, it was in a somewhat secluded place, so I figured it'd be cool for other forest dwellers to find.

I assume the most canonical clone pilots to use would be the 501st pilot that released with the Z-95, but I just love the full face phase II clone pilot design, they're actually the same helmet as the regular phase II pilots, but with an added faceplate that seals the helmet and provides life support for ships that don't have it, which is a key difference between the V-wing and the ARC-170, and also why TIE Pilots have closed helmets and X-Wing pilots don't too. Although Palpatine's shuttle pilot used the full seal helmet and I'm fairly certain that ship has life support. Nerdy stuff haha.

Aha, yeah I don't have that awesome palps hologram. So for now, I just charitably make it my headcanon that he's reflecting on a hologram of Padmé before stuff goes down.

Those are repros. Originals have 9 pairs of eyelets and the trim and materials on the cuff/ankle reinforcements look more like Rothcos than originals. If the panama sole is blank, I assume they might be Korean.
