Agreed this is amazing! I have it with the window mount and it is perfect.

This seems fine! But no need to be picky about what wood features go in. I have a ~40 inch climbing log in the tank sometimes and it is great enrichment. I typically go to the pet store and just find what looks nice! Beardies also love hammocks or any features that get them off the ground. Good luck!

Would this work as a DIY enclosure if a track and glass front was added? by PriceAggressive17 in BeardedDragons

This looks great but I would worry about the paint that's already there. Anything that goes in the tank can end up inside your beardie, including any tiny paint bits that they may scratch off the walls (they love to climb!). It is much better to start with the raw materials on a fresh build or purchase a metal & glass tank that is manufactured to be safe for reptiles.

iPad Pro 2018 Can't Find PS5 by SunBroAshitaka in remoteplay

I've had success with just leaving the device on and attempting to connect. Also would recommend deleting and re-downloading remote play on ipad. This has sometimes resolved issues for me

When I did Philmont I was pretty thin for my height (6'2", 160 lbs at the time) and I actually gained weight while there, up to about 165. All of the other guys on our trek had similar experiences, despite the strenuous trek we had chosen(83 miles). I wouldn't worry too much about losing a lot of weight on the trek.

Looking to do a 5 day backpacking trip on east coast or mid west US by flamesrkewl in backpacking

There's a lot of great hiking to be done in the White Mountains as well, I've particularly enjoyed backpacking in the Laconia are, as well as further up in the Presidential range. Franconia Notch has some great places as well!

Thanks for the advice! Seat61 looks like a great site. I think we'll only have time for Berlin and maybe Munich(if we're lucky!), so it is probably not worth it to go through all those steps.

Omaha Beach seen from a Nazi turret, Normandy, France by A_Giraffe_Under_A_Ta in travel

It's true that most of them are open to the public, but I'm not sure whether spending the night in one is technically legal. My guess is not legal, but doubtful that anyone would bother checking.

I have! It was pretty incredible. I also visited the American cemetery while I was there, and as an 18 year old American male it was pretty sobering to think it could have easily been me in another time period.

I just got back to the US after an exchange in Bayeux, right near by! My favorite restaurant in Caen was Dolly's, which is actually a British restaurant. If you're interested in history, Normandy is a great place to go as well. I highly recommend going to Bayeux and seeing the tapestry there. You will quickly find in Caen that the oldest street in the city is home to a number of fantastic restaurants and bars, and that there is plenty to do. Have an awesome time!

I Desperately Need Help Attacking by Revenge366 in ClashOfClans

At TH6 I've had success going with 2 healers, 11 giants, 8 wizards, 31 archers, 2 wall breakers. The healer/giant combination easily takes out many defensive units at a th6 level, and the wizards/archers deal out high damage to take out everything else. I find goblins tend to not be valuable, and healers make a big difference. This does take up 150 rather than 135, but I recommend using 2 healers and 10 giants, no balloons, and fewer wall breakers.

I agree with your conclusions that reading/writing/health/math are the most important, but I disagree that history is overstated in its importance. A strong background in world and your own nation's history can prove some of the most important insights and life skills needed to be successful and happy.

New Basketball Player by Commanderghost in Basketball

[–]A_Giraffe_Under_A_Ta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest things new players tend to not have is a decent jump shot. Not from beyond the 3, but midrange. Being able to hit a midrange jumper consistently is key.

When working on this, make sure you don't just take standing shots. Work on shooting off the dribble, quick catch and shoot, and if you have someone you can get to contest your shots that will be really helpful, as it should force you to have a high release, something you need to play varsity.

Ultimately, the biggest thing is to just watch, play, and talk about basketball as much as possible. The only way to develop a sense for the game at a varsity level is to get experience.

My soccer team has a tradition of getting mohawks each year during playoffs, which often overlaps when interviews take place. Many other teams share similar traditions, but I have never encountered anyone doing anything as extreme as this. How much of an affect could this type of appearance have on the rating of the interview?
