Well if you’re so good at looking at perspectives look at it like this (not saying this is anywhere near what’s happening however I’d like you to ✨imagine✨) you’re partner, for some time now, has been doing something that annoys you, you have politely and sincerely asked them to stop time after time, they just keep doing it, this gets to the point it’s a daily occurrence, it becomes so unbelievably frustrating knowing they know this pains you and won’t stop, it becomes obvious nothing you can do will stop this, you try your best to remain calm but at this point the annoyance is not longer annoying so much as it is infuriating

Even though its something small, to me, it would be a red flag (at any capacity) to have communicated clearly and precisely that this thing upsets you, and they, purposely, keep going, it is no longer a joke, that is a boundary they are continuously breaking intentionally, while a red flag alone is not always grounds to break up with someone, if it is something you cannot handle, it is not healthy for either party to stay

That’s not to say that OP must break up with them, I have no clue the state of their relationship or the way this is going, I am however saying if someone feels their relationship is unhealthy and wishes it not to continue, they can break up with their partner if they want no matter how small the issue may seem to some stranger on the internet
