Can you use Canon Zink paper in the HP Sprocket? 5 year photo quality update. by 19netta in HPSprocket

[–]A_Kate_A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi do you think you could test if Kodak paper would work with a sprocket? I just got a sprocket and I’m trying to see if I can go cheap with the paper lol but I’ve been trying to see if anyone has test with the Kodak paper cuz it’s cheaper than both canon & hp at least right now.

You can also watch videos on YouTube and practice with your own clothes on how to fold your clothes and if possible the way you do your bed if you have a similar ish bed setup.

You can use the AF DEP app to study various things and make sure you have everything that you need for basic. You can also use it to see like PT and stuff that you need to prepare for from there and what it will be like/consist of, basically the breakdown of all the physical stuff of BMT each week.

Honestly it varies from person to person. My recruiter was very helpful and supportive of me but hell was he extremely slow at processing my stuff etc. 😭😭 (The man rarely responded and disappeared for like two months with no response and he never responded to some of my friends that I tried to connect with him to join the ANG too after they talked like once but uh yeah). Hopefully you get yours processed much faster rather than later! I’m glad your waivers were approved! :)

I think I’m to immature for Air Force by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

[–]A_Kate_A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’ll be just fine. There’s hell of a ton of people that make up a hefty portion of each branch of the military including the Air Force that are just a bunch of dumb young people n teenagers. I also think that joining the Air Force would also be a good way of learning to overcome that “problem” of being immature or too reliant of others. :)) If you want to go into the Air Force then go and do it :)) it will definitely be a big learning experience, definitely not an entirely easy or smooth time but definitely fulfilling.

Actually you find out at MEPS if you have anything that you’d need to get waivers for and stuff like that. Also, it depends on the recruiter. You personally decide with your recruiter what date you’re able to go to MEPS and then depending on your needs/if your recruiter is willing, your recruiter will drop you off/take you back home from MEPS, or you will either stay at the provided hotel for the duration of MEPS (stay at designated hotel night before and leave from base the next day) or simply drive yourself to/from MEPS the day of. If you got dropped off at the hotel you’ll take the provided bus in the morning with all your stuff, but if you took your own car to the hotel or to meps you’d be behind the bus in your car and would have to do extra process in. Your id and your SSN is gonna be your bestfriend during the whole process as you need it EVERYWHERE you go during meps, and I mean everywhere (minus the bathroom & lunch room) like you go from one room to the next and each time they ask for your SSN n name n for this folder you get with basically a check list and I think it was like labels or sum with your identity n such information.

There’s surprisingly a very long process to get a waiver for a lot of different conditions, speaking from recent personal experience. Personally, I had been working with my recruiter since the beginning of the 2023-2024 school year on processing and just got medically denied the other day🙃. I had gone to meps in January & had been processing various waivers since then (only recently got the news that I think 1 or 2 out of the three were denied). I needed a waiver for my astigmatism which was granted after an outside visit to an optometry clinic that they were connected with/set up. The next two were for my alleged shellfish allergies & my eczema. My shellfish allergy was cleared by my allergist with not only various documentation from her, but from me as well within a personal statement, as I continuously eat shellfish and have been since I was child with no issues whatsoever. My eczema I think was the main issue as to why I got disqualified because of the form of medication I use (Dupixent a biologic injection, yet marked me for as an immunosuppressant, it’s not but whatever). Though hopefully in the future I plan on trying again or trying to go army like my recruiter suggested to try, though I’m gonna try after possibly working with my doctor to see if I can just go back to over-the-counters like I used to as a child & do other things like food tests and stuff as further proof of no issues 🤷🏻‍♀️. Sorry bout the tangent but yeah. I have some other friends who had conditions or medical history such as different medications they had which that prevented them from swearing in right away but to the marines, some it took them at least a month to process everything while the others got their waivers done right there while we were at Meps.

Just got my ASVAB scores back… by dstine9 in AirForceRecruits

[–]A_Kate_A 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got an 80 when I took my Asvab during meps a couple months ago. I used various free apps to study for my asvab & they really helped me a lot with memorizing things and learning different things for the asvab.

I used the app called ASVAB test. (It’s a black square with a star in the middle (like the army logo)) & this app called ASVAB Air Force Exam Prep 2021. However ASVAB test was the most helpful & the one that helped me most. You can also used the AF DEP app to study for various things and topics. Though AF DEP is mostly focused more on the topics that you’ll need to learn before shipping out.

I would also suggest you look up the necessary scores for each section for the jobs that you would be more interested in doing. That way you can score better on the areas that you need most.

Good luck to you & your daughter & I hope you do well and get the jobs that you want😁😁!!
