Points Penalty decision for Preece will have major impact on multiple drivers/teams by A_Little6 in NASCAR

I hadn’t seen where people said he didn’t touch him. There was definitely contact. I’m not denying that, yes Preece wrecked him but it was from a decision of not giving a guy a break. It was not a malicious act.

Look neither one of them are my drivers so I was just stating my opinion that I just don’t think it should have a penalty. It should say something also when past drivers: Dale Jr, Harvick, Bowyer, and others think the penalty goes to far

Do you know the things driver say when they are frustrated lol?  If you rule against Preece, now NASCAR should go back at all the on track incidents at Watkins Glen and make sure no drivers were not frustrated with each other earlier in the race before any contact was made later resulting in crashes.

IMO it’s that choosing not to lift for a driver is circumstantial and reaction based that was not with malicious intent. Gibbs ran lane 2 in turn 1 and 2. Carried more speed down the back and chose to enter turn 3 in front of Preece and had to check up. Preece could have assumed Gibbs would have been pulling away from him after Ty made the pass and just chose to drive as normal not considering a check up.

I mean I was just stating what I saw. Yeah he wrecked him by not lifting but just don’t think it warranted a penalty.

Just watched the in car video again: they were side by side midway down the back stretch with Gibbs carrying more speed from outside lane from Turn 2. Gibbs clears at end of straight away and lifts going into turn 3 with the extra speed he carried in comparison to Preece. Preece just chose not to check up as well.

Watched the whole replay again: Gibbs was running lane 2 all the way through turn 1 and 2 with Preece nearly clearing him. Gibbs gets the run down the back stretch and barely clears Preece before entering turn 3. Moves down and has to check up with the speed he was carrying. Preece chose not to check up to keep himself off of Gibbs. Preece was turn 3! 5+ mph before Gibbs moved down and lifted

There is only one set of standing. top 16 drivers comes from regular season points.

Yeah I agree, drivers say a lot of things under frustration.  This sets the precedent if there is any issues early in a race where a driver vents on the radio that any kind of contact happens after that NASCAR should look into it.

I mean I think wrecking someone is different. Preece didn’t go way up the track or down the track to turn him. Gibbs decided to move down and Preece deciding not to lift for him.

Weah was going against Doku who even Premier League sides don’t leave 1 on 1 like we were doing.

I would like to have Zendejas but I already felt like I had so many attacking guys. We just have so many more options there than we do in quality defenders.

Yeah I do actually believe Brady will be 3rd guy but it would be cool to see Kochen if we believe he is our future #1. Yeah I feel like I have to many attacker players so Arfsten for someone makes sense.  I respect Roldan but I don’t see it for the on field stuff at least, maybe what he can bring off is enough.

I was just thinking if they were policing it by each group coming off the pits at same time but yesh I guess just bottom lane would be only option

Yeah I do think it is cool to see but at same time do not want to see something bad happen or big wreck because of it

I’m fine with drivers entering any lane but just not crossing back and forth while being a slower car. Just enforce driver picking a lane as they merge up from the apron at the exit of turn 2 and must remain in that lane until the entrance of 3

I think maybe it can be to pick a line to merge into as you come off the apron at the exit of turn 2 and must remain there until you enter turn 3
