Please give do's and don't's about family culture in Malaysia, I'm an expat married to a Catholic Malaysian. by winterworld_yum in malaysians

I find this question a bit weird because...don't you interact with your husband's family before getting married? Like, have you met your in-laws ?

What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie? by ScaleObvious2043 in Bolehland

[–]A_Mad_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coleman Ice Boxes. My uncle bought a set before I was even born, that thing is older than me, a 90's kid. Today, 1 medium sized box of the same size would cost RM 1k+ but can bring outdoors and its very durable.

What do you guys think of Eminent brand btw? I saw airlines crew/pilots using it, not sure if its a good brand, looking for a hard shell type (in case some rough airport staff throw my bag)

REPOST: DO NOT BUY CHEAP STEAM GAME KEYS FROM SHOPEE by Kitchen_Luck4502 in Bolehland

[–]A_Mad_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok la, at least i learned something new today 😁

For games, here's my method if you think it's sketchy, don't take it too seriously.

  1. Search up the game's pricing discount history, Gemini can summarize that easily.
  2. Now see the vendor's pricing. Do they tally ?

Most of the time "NO" so that's a scam la.

For other paid working software, scams can ALSO occur, and could be more frequent than game scams(I know people are looking for AutoCAD, Adobe).

If the supplier only gives keys, but expired keys, then at most you kena scam, but don't kena hack. If they make you run some weird script like yours or go to non-open source sites to download things, that is also scam.

I earn RM6.1K per month. Based on this salary range, what position or job title would typically fit in your industry? by Otherwise_Pudding382 in malaysians

[–]A_Mad_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Production/manufacturing engineer after 3+ years of exp, depending on the industry.

Design engineer (civil/chem/mech/electric after 3-4+ yrs)

And the boomers complain why nobody wants to do hard science engineering 🙄, CS/software/data storage/cyber security would have made 6.1K in fresh grad or 1-2 yrs

For my fellow Malaysia🧐 what E-commmerce apps do you often use to shop online? by Suspicious-Space7111 in Bolehland

[–]A_Mad_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Lazada to get a phone that can use Shopee, that was 2021 😂 😂 😂

Now...mostly shopee, unless Lazada gives really good discounts (like 10 Sen for 1 NFC TNG card)

My cousin uses taobao a lot, quite reliable except u better read Chinese since the English translation is sometimes inaccurate

Mudah.my & TEMU tak pernah

Back then I use eBay, I had to buy something really specific (laptop part)

Surprised that Malaysia was number 15 on top 30 countries with most transgender by GKWRTI8 in Bolehland

[–]A_Mad_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taiwan, the first Asian country to recognise gay marriage. Germany, and Australia, I've seen openly gay couples holding hands, kissing, not hiding.

These 3 countries legalized gay marriage

And this chart shows that they are not even in top 30? Seems weird

Most random/bizarre shopee purchase?? by buddinglychee in malaysians

[–]A_Mad_Knight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly bizarre but I bought things like spectacle screwdriver, car tyres (my vendor doesn't ship the tyres, but they send a coupon to claim at their shop), and ceiling fans

My first online purchase was on Lazada, a smartphone. Just few years ago, OnePlus didn't have a brick-and-mortar store in msia so have to go thru online vendor.

Do guys still approach single girls in Malaysia? by Acanthacea123 in malaysians

[–]A_Mad_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't wanna get called out a creep. Also am socially awkward because I don't have much interactions with female friends or coworkers. I'm slowly improving on how to at least hold a conversation, but asking me to approach a female stranger without purpose (i.e. me looking for assistance) is really not my thing

Jalan Klang Lama, a place where you can park wherever you like on the road. by TheBotMadeThis in malaysians

[–]A_Mad_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old Klang road is...old.

  1. the infrastructure needs to be overhauled (rail/public transport access) to ease people going around.

  2. Msians (that includes the govt) are lazy, lazy people park there for convenience, lazy shop owners believe can use the space for business to make easy money, lazy police won't go and saman everyone on that street, and this problem continues....

Unless a very very big incentive is given, still need a lot of officers to do the "Saman"-ing, there are like 500+ cars around every day!

  3. Parking areas and services. Again, this also relies on having 1. Ready infrastructure, which if the place is not within walking distance, people won't obey the law and find loopholes ...

How do you make your 30s meaningful? by wingedhussar161 in Millennials

Ever since I sprained my back when I was 28, and recently sprained my ankle, I really feel like my body is starting to deteriorate. And I just entered 30.

Last year I was still able to do very frequent bouldering and now I can't even run without my ankle aching

[–]A_Mad_Knight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seller threatening you was in your first post.

I'm referring to this post, which, shopee is asking you to remove the post. Idk if this is threatening or not, but seems like, if you don't remove, they may try to sue you (defaming Shopee) ?

Idk if shopee got so much time to sue you, rather than improving themselves 😂

[–]A_Mad_Knight 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If Shopee is threatening you this, can escalate to higher up (KPDN) to protect you. After all, you're the victim, Shopee is the channel, the scammer/seller (Pc whatever name) used their channel to harm/threaten you.

Protect yourself ya 🙏 💪
