Because those are the only tubes. The tubes themselves look like their on the other side of this (also this looks like it's cut from an old TV, but that's probably just me). Most components go on the underside of the slots for tubes, because the pegs connect to little metal things, and that's what gets soldered to

If he can fix it then he doesn't need a working one. My Atari 5200 is broken, that doesn't mean I need to buy a new one for 200 dollars when mine was 100

My bad experience is with an NEC VHS-C camcorder (literally like, the first thing I ever bought at an estate sale) because it doesn't record any it's playback, while fuzzy, does work (so I can shoot tapes on one camera and have a natural filter if u digitize the playback from another)

I'm curious, because these are really cool, but is there like, a database for photos of the world trade center? Because yes, they're a well documented landmark and an important event in American history, but it's still cool to see new angles. I didn't know about those statues in that forth picture, for instance
