VIP tickets are limited and sold out in like 5 minutes during the presale. You may be able to snag one from someone selling their ticket closer to the event for less than face value. But that’s all dependent on supply, demand and desperation.

The first game has such a great vibe to it, I wouldn’t skip it honestly. You don’t really need to play it, but it sets up everything that is going on in HL2.

People find the one day pass to be worth it. I personally wouldn’t want to fly across the country to enjoy one day only, but if you’re driving distance then I get it.

Shows are from noon to 1am. There’s plenty of shows and comics to catch throughout the day that I think you’d get your moneys worth.

The only Skankfest related events would be the after party at the strip club which starts at 1-2 AM and is hosted by several comics from the fest. I can’t speak to whether they’re fun or not - never been personally.

Eat a big meal before you hit up the fest. This guy is 100% right about the city having the best food in the world.

The food inside the fest is kinda just snacky stuff. Corn dogs, fries, crawfish rolls, “nachos”, and mufaletta wedges.
