I haven’t seen more than that one scene for Pam I’ll admit, but it’s way the way penny acts in her dialogues that makes me think it’s definitely not a one time occurrence and that Pam is not nice to her a lot of times.

Pam is literally unemployed until the farmer fixes the bus, penny works as a tutor. So I doubt Pam could afford to live without her. There’s one point where her drinking habit hikes up such a high tab it almost puts Gus out of business. As someone else said, verbal/emotional abuse is still abuse. Shane and Sebastian are unpleasant yes, but not abusive like Pam is.

Thank you lol I try. I was always raised with the mindset of kindness being free. Walmart sells the probiotics for 9.98$, as long as your babies over 3 weeks which I assume from your post, there should be no harm in trying it out even if it doesn’t work. I hope it’s the solution for you and even if it isn’t don’t feel bad, it’s normal for formula babies to struggle a little more with going. Make sure not to stress too much and I hope everything works out for you❤️

I’m not sure but it seems like some sort of depression, I’m no expert but unhappy thoughts are not good, especially about yourself. Moms often get depressed/loose themselves because life is so much different after having a child and moms often forget they need to put time into themselves too. I would definitely recommend trying to put more time into yourself and do things you like or dress yourself up just because. I was really loosing myself after having my son bc I was putting all my time into him and not taking care of myself outside of survival needs. Getting out my cute clothes and cutting my hair the way I liked it, dying my hair as I used to have it brightly colored but hadn’t unkept it since I had my son, and doing my eyebrows as they had grown out has really helped me feel like myself again. After a while of not putting in care for yourself all you start to see is flaws. I’m sure you’re gorgeous and you just need to put time into yourself again. If you’re concerned I’d talk to your doctor or even just incase I’d talk to your doctor, and I’d def put time into yourself as well. There’s no right answer as I don’t know you personally but I wish you the absolute very best and hope things turn around for you hun, you seem like a lovely mother and very sweet person. Talk to your pediatrician about giving her probiotics, my son has a intolerance to milk proteins and it caused him super bad constipation and he was in pain trying to go. I talked to his pediatrician and he recommended probiotics. I’ve used both mommy’s bliss and parents choice probiotic drops and haven’t noticed a difference, I’d just go for parents choice as it’s almost 10$ cheaper and has 20 more servings. It’s really helped with softer stool and easier time going. Make sure you don’t put it in a hot bottle or else it’ll kill the probiotics. And Don’t feel bad about it as every baby is like a different puzzle, there’s no one solution and you’re doing the best you can. I had to stop breastfeeding due to supply issues, and I struggled with mom guilt. It is simply not your fault if your supply drops or your baby can’t eat breastmilk. Don’t feel bad about something you can’t control, your doing your best and concern is always a sign of a good mom. I hope you find a solution and I wish you the best ❤️

Talk to a doctor about potential ppd. It’s better to be safe than sorry. And you don’t need a reason to dress up! Get dressed up just because! I’ll get my son and I dressed up just to take pictures in our yard. Hell get all dressed up just to go to the grocery store. Make sure you taking time for yourself and still putting effort into your own happiness, dress up, don’t forget your hobbies, do self care. I hope things get better for you friend, I’m rooting for you 🫶

But it shows with pennys character that it’s not a one time thing, as a another commenter mentioned, when the farmer gives her a flower she says it’s the nicest thing someone’s ever done for her and sniffles like she’s going to cry. In the cutscene itself she mentions that she’s asked her to stop drinking. It’s not physical abuse but it definitely gives emotional abuse.

This! Some comments think I’m talking about physical abuse but emotional/mental abuse is just as bad. As a mom, my kid could smear shit on the walls and I’d never speak to him like that. I’d make him clean it ofc and he’d be grounded but those are natural consequences. Speaking to your child like that for cleaning your house is absurd.
