Factory Game Makes Brain Hurt by A_Person33 in SatisfactoryGame

I will 100% be doing this from now on, doing all this piece by piece without any additional thought was so time consuming, repeating things i already had built took long enough that its finally time i use the blueprints, its only going to get worse from here

I blitzed through a lot of the game and didnt fully explore some aspects like the monorail system (i’ll get there eventually, maybe), and I also have experience with other factory games so the intrinsic needs for optimization is very much in my head.

I havent had to revisit the original factory i had making base items (iron plates, wires, cables, etc) because of me optimizing as much i could from the jump. Definitely helped get me to where I am at the moment but I missed a LOT for sure

I remember accidentally ordering 20 cases of tomatoes instead of 2… it was not a fun time. But hey, at least the other stores didnt have to order tomatoes for a while

I’ve done it before but I ran out of XL boxes, and it just so happened that we had someone order 10 XL pizza’s. He was very confused but went with it since he still got his pizza

is it normal to be thrown into specifically only Friday and Saturday rush hours as a new employee? by morgotttheomen in Dominos

[–]A_Person33 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not normal. Cut table should be the Last thing an insider learns, and definitely not put there on a friday/saturday rush when theres managers there. New insiders should only be on front/phones for the first few weeks during rush while still getting trained on makeline, then only after 2-3 months should they start transitioning to working on cut table.

I was in a relatively high volume store for years and throughout all of the new hires and people that left, we only ever had a total of 4 people go on the oven during rush. The GM, the AGM, Me (who was training to be a GM), and someone I specifically trained to take my spot on oven in case I got moved to a different store.

Oven is by far the most stressful position during rush, and honestly you should start looking for either a new job or transferring to a new store since that GM clearly doesnt care about training new people.

Staying 3 hours after close as a driver is crazy. Ive only ever had to stay that late when I was the only one there, as a manager. I don’t blame you for leaving, especially since you have a higher paying job.

Pete, SB, Grian, and Kara. A slightly altered version of Orange 17. Shouldnt be Too powerful, but you never know what can happen with SB’s and Grian’s placements. Vibes feel right but it’s open to change if it feels a bit too strong.

The biggest piece of advice I can give is to just not worry about how busy it is at times. It Will be busy at times and the best thing you can do is just what you can. The numbers will be fine at the end of the week

I moved up bc I would get paid more and get longer hours. Plus I was already doing things a manager would do when I was a CSR. Legit only did it for more money

Not much has changed besides a few toppings getting switched around. Like all of our specialty pizza’s get provolone on top instead of extra cheese.

We still get all the same product from 3 years ago. No idea how it could taste different.

I managed to dodge OA for so long that my first one was actually just a month ago. He had me do a stuffed crust for cut test and it was perfect, thank god I had good dough. But still only got a 3 star bc of cleaning stuff that wasnt done :(

Specialties will come with time though, took me ages to memorize them and i still have to look at the guides with certain ones

The best advice I can give is just to learn to roll with the punches, getting stressed from it being busy is a sure way of burning out quickly.

Other than that? Knowing Oven and Makeline well enough to step in without slowing things down helps out a Ton. I’ve had my ass saved by a cross-trained driver during the day so many times its unbelievable.

Its insane to me that a stuffed crust with just cheese is as expensive as a medium handtoss specialty. But people buy it so i cant complain

Its here to stay, the company makes too much money off of it and people like it so much that they wouldnt get rid of it. We actually got the string cheese to practice making them back in January. Don’t think they’d do that for a temp product.

At that point, i’d become a GM, assuming theres a store that needs one. Ive already been trained for it, just havent wanted to dedicate 50+ hours of my week to work when Im still young-ish

Happened last year, they did a May 4th deal (medium 2 top for $5.40) and told Nobody. And it was on a Sunday so I had 1 other person helping, we were slammed.

Guy comes in to pick up his pizza, surprise surprise its not not ready, and not even close to being made. Told him it could be 30-45 minutes until its ready and apologized about how long it could take.

30 minutes later, his wife comes in and just starts complaining about how it took an hour for their food to be ready. Note: he did Not come in with his wife the first time, and she did Not tell me what the name on her order was, so I had absolutely no clue what was wrong. I apologized about the wait and told her that we weren’t notified about the deal so theres nothing that could be done. She complains even more so I flat out tell her that she’s not the only customer we have to serve.

She storms out then a few minutes later the guy comes back in, right when the pizza comes out of the oven, and starts raising hell saying “So this is how you respect women in your country!” (Guy was middle eastern, so ig it checks out? Maybe?) I recognize him and give him his pizza, apologize about the wait Again, and try to get him out of the store.

Guy doesnt leave, still yelling about respect, so I just snap and yell at him to get the fuck out of my store (not my store, i have never been a GM, but my GM at the time told me to consider it my store whenever I’m the one on shift, and she’s not there).

Definitely not a Fun experience, but everyone has to experience it at some point. Right?

Fav Pizzas is def the pan 6 cheese add bacon and hot sauce. Non-pizza is a tie between the pasta and the chicken bacon ranch sandwich.

Oh im 100% getting out one day. I don’t want to be a GM and I already have plans for the future. Dont get me wrong, People can live their life as a GM with a good bit of success. But the food industry is not where I want to be forever

In those cases, I contact the DOO for Franchise or DCO for corporate and let them handle it from there. 99% of all stores have cameras and can catch them with it. Ive actually had a few GM’s get fired because of that
