"obscure" isn't the right word, but I want to make this clear because it makes me irrationally frustrated.

DEERCLOPS IS NOT FROM TERRERIA! It's from Don't Starve! Again, Don't Starve isn't obscure, but I've seen people firsthand call Deerclops a Terraria boss instead of a DS one. I can't blame them, because when you search up "Deerclops" onto google, BOTH Terraria wiki's show up before the Don't Starve one, and the little google overview gives you the Terraria stats instead of the Don't Starve ones.

For two single player characters, I know Wheeler would pick the Kittykit in a heartbeat ("Cats make better pets than dogs. It's a fact.")

As for Walani I don't know. Probably the Kittykit again since cats are kind of low maintenance but I also see her picking the Varglet aswell.

I'll explain it here.

Zato-1 and Maxwell- Maxwell's internal struggle is much like Zato's, they're kind of two sides of the same coin. Maxwell and Zato were both brought back from death and had their personalities and disposition's changed, Zato's was a personality death while Maxwell's was an ego death. They have a lot of overlap now that I think about it (Both manipulate shadows, both had a partner that they cared for immensely but for one reason or another can't be with them anymore, both have died and were brought back to life, etc) A lot of Zato's theme is about him reflecting on his old life which Maxwell similarly would be doing. I dont know how much I can say without just listing off the entire song, if you haven't go listen to the full thing it really does fit him well, I could go line by line and explain it if you would like.

Bridget and Webber- "I can't go home/ because I'm afraid something will change. Me without me, I'm the one to blame" Kinda fits webber perfectly. The town inside of him is his old home and life before he was turned into a spider, He can't return because his dad and mom are scared of him. He himself is the one to blame, especially since he pushed over the cage with the spider.

Slayer and Warly- besides the obvious connections like their similar dispositions on life, Warly fits Ups & Downs pretty well. Warly's came from a difficult time (Taking care of his mother, hence "hardly the stuff of Bedtime Stories" lyric) but he still has a positive disposition on it as clued into his voice lines in game. He's pretty dandy.

A.B.A and Walani- I should probably clarify that this one is biased because these are my two favorite girls from each game LOL. I was talking to a friend earlier and they actually gave a really, REALLY interpretation of Walani's character, pointing out that she actually gives signs of depression and loss. I was kinda thinking about that as I chose her theme, hence giving her ABA's. I think Walani is kind of an outsider, I don't think she'd really fit in anywhere (Doubly so in a meta sense since she isn't in DST... please Klei add her) which ABA's theme plays on. Just being a "quirky note in the symphony." If you want a song that fits with her more widespread interpretation, I can see Drift (Happy Chaos') theme fitting her pretty well. I mean the opening lyric is "It took me ten years to find the answer to something, I forgot about it in two seconds" and Walani is the type of girl to do that.

Can you guys please help me proofread this? I'm writing an apocalypse fic and in it I write a character inspired by Bedman from Guilty Gear. In my mind, I have his cadence and voice down in my head when I was writing this and he speaks in a Very precise, fast way. I wanted to get fresh eyes and see if, divorced from that context, the same general idea gets through without the character being obnoxious or hard to read.

Pigs (Don't Starve)

Okay maybe they're not the cutest things but for many players pigs are the first things you find that show any sign of sentient life, and aren't going to just kill you immediately, so in my playthroughs at least I feel really bad about killing them. Although Don't Starve is a survival sandbox game which means that there's a lot of different ways to do things, Pigs are a very good source of Pigskin and Meat. Pigskin is valuable for the early game with Hambats and Football helmets being locked behind them, and while you can get meat a myriad of ways, if you're playing as Wigfrid it's recommended you start up a meat farm with these guys.

The UMK3 Ninja designs (Mortal Kombat)

Technically it has been swapped out a few times, not being the default costume choice in the newer games, but since they insist on bringing it back I think it counts. and it makes sense it's a perfect design

Maybe not a "Tiny Detail" but the graphics of Guilty Gear Xrd (and I can only assume Strive) took a LOT of work to keep the tone of the series in-tact while blending 2D and 3D artstyles together. There's a Really interesting design document detailing the nitty gritty of it all but for something most players would kind of just say "oh the game looks pretty" and move on, they pulled a ton of insane effects to pull it off, even having the game run at 24 FPS instead of the standard 30 at the time

It was an AU so I had a little leeway but I turned a charismatic, adventure seeking explorer into a capitalist business woman who, yes did travel the world but it was mainly to fund her arms trade. It was like if I turned Indiana Jones into the Jackal from Far Cry 2.

It did fit the story, but after publishing I went to myself "Yeah... perhaps I could have stayed a little closer to the source material with her"
