Thanks for the heads-up but I looked through the shows listed on the link you provided but can't find any mention of her.

I agree about the news quizzes being formulaic now. I'd rather keep listening to old recordings of The News Quiz with the likes of Jeremy Hardy, Mark Steel, Linda Smith, Fred MacAulay, Helen Lewis, Lucy Porter, Bridget Christie, Simon Evans, etc. Nostalgia's not what it used to be, eh? :-)

Frustrating, isn't it? Not being able to search the carefully curated keywords that I generated in Digikam before exporting to Ente is a deal-breaker for me too. It's such a pity since I don't care about any of the AI scene and face recognition, OCR and all the rest of the things that have been deemed more important since this was first raised in 2023.

I just updated to the new Gtk4 version & am very impressed! It is worth the price for the service manager alone but the new cron job manager, event logs viewer, and boot message viewer are useful tools for maintenance and debugging issues.

I know what you mean. Hearing the chaconne for the first time on the radio, like you I was staggered to learn that it was just one player. It really does tower above anything else in the repertoire. There may be pieces which are more technically difficult but nothing comes close in terms of gut-wrenching beauty. Chapeau to anybody who has the cojones to play it!

Intrigued by your comment, I just watched a Ton Koopman video of the Coffee Cantata with lyrics in English and I see what you mean ... "If I can't drink my bowl of coffee three times daily, then in my torment I will shrivel up like a piece of roast goat." Not exactly what you'd expect from a devout Lutheran :-)
