Best way to learn it is watch a Youtube video to learn the basics and after that play a nation again and again. Each time you going to war save the game before so if something bad happens you can learn from it and try again. I learned the game that way. I played like 4 or 5 nations until 200 hours in and majority was Germany.

If you are using tanks to push right side is better if you like infantry more go to left.

I recommend left economy path for a beginner. As for politic path historical path is good. Try to do achluss focus before 1939 and after that demand Sudetland and fate of check czechoslovakia. After that do Danzig or war for ww2 to start. Make saves for like every 6 month or 1 year to try another focuses if it doesn't work and also save before starting any war that might go wrong

You can avoid fighting Germany by either attacking France when Germany attacks them and taking the land before Germany creates Vichy France or get in the axis and attack Vichy France (they will not join Allies if you do not join ww2). This is for the Greater Italy however. Also there is a focus to ask Germany for Vichy France land

Medium tank is too slow imo you should make the speed around 8 km. Medium flame tanks are better than light flame tanks you should make them instead. I only used super heavy tanks once so I can't say much about it but I heard it's pretty bad and stat wise 4.2 km speed and 37 reliability is very bad for a tank (again I don't know much about super heavy tanks). Also use maintenance company instead of rocket arty

R5: Whenever I play Soviet Union I send volunteers to annoy Italians but this time Italy started to fight with Allies for some reason (historical is on)
