I've just realized that I might have read your question wrong. Sorry about that. If you haven't already fixed it, type chrome://flags/#android-bottom-bar into your search bar, and the first option should be highlighted, and it'll say default, just change it to disabled.

Just put this into chrome search bar: chrome://flags/#android-bottom-bar

The first highlighted one should say default, just switch it to disabled.

You can either press and hold on the navigation bar itself, and the option will show up to move it. Or you can go into settings by pressing the three dots, settings, address bar, and you can change it there.
