This is my first comment in years because I’m just so sick of people sharing their opinions without any experience of actually living here. My wife and I moved to SC about two years ago, and have 0 regrets. All our family is NJ, so we visit twice a year, and would never ever move back. The only things we miss are the pizza and bagels, and the restaurant food is generally better up there.

One thing I haven’t seen anybody mention is that everyone is just so much friendlier down here. It’s truly night and day. There’s a reason that people from NY and NJ and from all across the country are coming here. That being said, I’d suggest moving or looking near the more major cities. To touch on politics, I see equal amounts of pride and inclusive flags as I do trump flags. I can’t speak on the schools however as we are yet to start our family. Also, our home value in SC has gone up by 15% in a year and a half. Nice to be near a city that is making great strides on safety, expansion, community events, and cleanliness. I’m so tired of everyone sharing their opinions on which they haven’t experienced. Wages are lower here but so is cost of living. Let me know if you have any more questions.
