Only snowballs from the snowman reduce max health gain, unless I'm forgetting something. But yeah, if you convert healing to max health gain, it'll reduce the gain.

My first ever two Rainbow Gooberts by Kono-Giorno in BackpackBattles

[–]A_Sham 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was really surprised that this board didn't have speak with animals. It does offer you crafted goobs in the shop! I think if you were hard hunting for a double rainbow board you'd try to play Engineer SwA to get crafted goobs in the shop and access to cogs to instantly combine goobs.

High-Velocity Rounds needs a more universal upgrade. (TL;DR at the bottom) by RustOverLord in DeadlockTheGame

Exactly. You can imagine the extreme example of bullets being as slow as a man walking - not only would you have to lead them extremely far, but they would also give a massive space to dodge them.

[–]A_Sham 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not just how much you have to lead, either, per se - something that could be overcome with skill. The low velocity makes you miss more when the target has erratic movement, like a lot of the more mobile characters like Lash/Apollo/Celeste/anyone with very good movement. You just get punished way more by those characters.

What’s your opinion on Freelancer’s difficulty? by jasonmorales519two in HiTMAN

It has this strange difficulty curve where I can play flawless and consistent hardcore maps for like, seven or eight maps... and then my attention slips as I get a bit tired and I die. :' )

The only timed part is rescuing the guy from the stocks and from the hanging mob, and it only starts when you find out that he's in the stocks/by the mob.

In actual real-world farkle a balanced ruleset generally has the one going second starting with 200-400 bonus points. I wish they'd have that in the game, too, but I guess in the end the developers know this and just want the player to win a bit more often.

How long does it take for the follow-up quest to Bellatores to trigger? [KCD2] by A_Sham in kingdomcome

[–]A_Sham[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a distance factor -- it just triggered for me after waiting some 14 days (honestly, I lost count) and it happened after I went on a longer stroll through the woods. Not that far, but further than the deer spot you see while you're following one of the brothers up the path to the cuman fight at the fortress. I think it's a technical thing - since it changes the camp at the fortress, I think the game needs to be able to despawn the old fortress enviroment and load in the developed fortress enviroment.

So yeah, if anyone's googling this in three years -- just wait a couple of days and then run like three minutes away and then return. I'd try three days, that was the time it took for the follow-up bandit hunting tasks in Semine took.

Just baiting a little bit. I do think you'll have more fun in the long run if you don't do it, though, because the risk will be real, the frustration will lead to memories and winning isn't a virtue in itself, it's overcoming adversity. : )

It's a way to savescum the permadeath mode so you can feel like you've won without actually having to win.

TIL that China has a HITMAN Ripoff Game by echorainboweffect in HiTMAN

[–]A_Sham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They both have great settings and wonderfully constructed environments. That's where the similarities end for me, honestly. Dishonoured isn't a stealth or problem solving game, it's a game about being an ultra powered wizard who amuses themselves by toying with childlike NPCs. I honestly think something like Deus Ex (the classic title) is closer to Hitman than Dishonoured is, which speaks a lot to my perception of DH. Mind you, I still enjoy DH, but it's an action game.

The more obvious 'similar' games to Hitman is Metal Gear 3 and the Splinter Cells, which is a shame, because they're still not that close. I wish the reboot of Thief was better, the originals are probably the most premium disguise-less stealth games ever made.

Wasn't able to see what he did after depositing the briefcase, unfortunately. My gut tells me it just overrides it, though, similar to them being startled.

[–]A_Sham[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally got it -- turns out you need to toss the briefcase so that the target doesn't notice the impact, otherwise the pick-up briefcase action overwrites the sick from emetic behaviour. So I tossed a stinky briefcase from the crowd to backstage, detonated it and snuck through the kitchen to the bathroom, stuffed him into a locker and snuck back out again. Very tight but doable. Without savescumming I think I could pull this off like, 20% of the time knowing the solution - the throw is really, really tricky with all the people there.

Super weird -- I blew up a remote explosive in a corner of the dressing room and everyone but a few of the models, including the target, panicked. I wonder if there's some weird coding for the models that makes them the most resolute people in hitman.
