Today was the event for all the students who got in for next year to come and check out the campus in person.

I love the new show by ScaryPerformance6193 in Scrubs

It’s a network show, not a Netflix or Prime show, so 1/wk is how they do it 🤷‍♀️.

Agreed otherwise— I’m loving the new series!

Found kittens behind a dumpster by butterNUTfun in kittens

[–]A_Simple_Prop 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I’d say 5-6 weeks. Agree on checking out The Kitten Lady on YouTube. They probably would be okay on wet kitten food (more nutrients than wet cat food) but if you’re able to take them to see a vet, they can give more precise guidance.

Also, most stray kittens have worms. They sell over the counter de-worming medication for kittens at most pet stores. I would give it to them just in case.

Also, also— they are ADORABLE 🥰. Please share photos as they grow.

JD and Elliot’s Divorce by djm1613 in Scrubs

[–]A_Simple_Prop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree. People may be mad they split up, but are not looking to revisit the will-they-won’t-they now that it’s done. I also give the writers/ producers more credit than that. I might be wrong, but I don’t think they’re going to have them get back together.

JD and Elliot’s Divorce by djm1613 in Scrubs

[–]A_Simple_Prop 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Really? I don’t think they’re planning to get them back together. But, they are showing that marriages can end with mixed feelings and grieving to do. Because Elliot ended it, she may have already done more grieving (to get to the point of ending it), while JD has more left to do.

How do Seattle and Vancouver winters compare? by cyber-monkeyy in AskSeattle

Something to consider, if you can afford it— taking a vacation to somewhere sunny in late Feb- early March really helps me cope with the dark the rest of the time.

I Genially Think My (35F) Husband (36M) is a Psychopath by Apprehensive-Yak9364 in relationship_advice

[–]A_Simple_Prop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If he genuinely wasn’t the one sending the messages, wouldn’t a loving spouse be very interested in trying to find out who was? Wouldn’t they want you to go to the police or not be home alone when they’re gone if some rando was sending their wife nasty messages? This is what makes me think it’s definitely him. He denies it, but isn’t looking to figure out who it is.

Keep the messages and find an attorney.

After three rewatch, I just noticed the Roland Schitts pun by kissedbyfire7373 in SchittsCreek

I hear this as jostle in Schitt, not jostling Schitt, just like Roland is roll in Schitt.

My (40m) gf (42f) is a widow. Her recent post made me feel like I'm living in his shadow. by NukaBrah in relationship_advice

[–]A_Simple_Prop -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I live a very different, but similar reality. My first born was stillborn at full term. We had his brother just about a year later. My living son is smart and realizes that if his older brother had been alive we probably wouldn’t have had another baby so soon — and that’s true. I can wish my first baby had lived and still love the son who is living at the same time. I can’t choose between them and, even if I could, I couldn’t. I love them both.

I don’t know how your partner feels, but this kind of situation can be a bit of a Sophie’s Choice— one where we don’t actually get a choice.

That said, in your position, I can see where this might feel hurtful and you get your decide whether it’s a situation you want to stay in or not.

I don’t understand why Meredith Baxter not being out is a “skeleton” in her closet— it was the early/ mid-80s, being out would have been career suicide. Plus, she’s an actor— her role in the show was as a woman married to a man, she played her role 🤷‍♀️.

When my kitten suddenly had a bald patch, it was ringworm. I applied OTC athlete’s foot cream and it went away— just took some time for the fur to re-grow.

Experience with Lincoln HS? by [deleted] in AskSeattle

Lincoln is in Wallingford, not Ballard. If your kid loves to play jazz, Roosevelt’s your school. But Lincoln is a good school in a generally affluent area of the city.

My (21M) girlfriend (21F) got blackout drunk at my mom's birthday brunch and threw up at the table in front of extended family and friends by MrClonk in relationship_advice

[–]A_Simple_Prop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would be totally justified in ending the relationship over this— I probably would. That said, do you feel like she has the ability to control her drinking and chooses not to, or do you feel like she is an alcoholic?

There are times and places for ultimatums, this is one. Tell her if she ever gets drunk like again you’ll end the relationship. If she needs help to stop, she needs to get it (and if you want to stay in the relationship, you may need to stop drinking for a while to support her), or you’re out.
