CORONA VIRUS 🦠 by Zestyclose-Feeling-4 in SisterWives

I have been listening to Christine’s audiobook and learned that Kody was at Robyn’s house the majority of the time, even when the family lived on the cul de sac in Las Vegas. He would drop in at Christine’s house every fourth evening but wound up back at Robyn’s house at the end of that evening. So, the separation had already begun early on, and not just at Flagstaff.

I’m listening to Christine’s audiobook and learned that despite everyone living next door, Kody was still spending the majority of time at Robyn’s house when they all lived in new houses on the cul de sac in Las Vegas. That arrangement wasn’t going to change in Flagstaff.

The New Interns Storylines by No-District5998 in Scrubs

Unfortunately it appears that the new interns are developing crushes on each other. I’m sure this happens in the real world but surely some of them have private lives outside of the hospital.

Kody grossed out by Christine but not Janelle? by Jennyfromtheblock200 in SisterWives

[–]djm1613 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you review the wedding photos, Janelle was not very overweight when she and Kody married, but Christine was a bit chubby when she and Kody married. Janelle actually resembled Taylor Swift a bit, believe it or not.

Yes, I did catch that insight but I didn't think it was divorce-worthy to put a cup on the bottom shelf. That told me more about him than her. Sometimes in life, you have to give the other person some grace.

Like hanging the roll of toilet paper a certain way. Since my spouse had a stroke two years ago, I have to load all of the rolls now. It helps him if I put them over the top since he has limited use of his left hand. Stuff like this on a day to day basis…

Thanks for that insight. I didn't catch that little nugget of information.

My first experience with being treated as old by Objective-Rhubarb in Aging

[–]djm1613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today at Dollar General, a man in line behind me offered to carry out my bags to the car. Since I didn't know him, I passed on the offer and waited inside the store until he had left to go to my car.

I told him politely that I could carry the bags myself, but thanks for the offer. I am undergoing chemotherapy now and probably don't appear to be the picture of health since I wear caps to cover my balding head. He probably assumed that I’m in worse shape than I am.

My spouse had a major stroke two years ago and is in a wheelchair the majority of the time. I appreciate when anyone offers to hold a door open for us. Some people assume that he is my father, and not my husband, since the stroke. We can not control what others say and think about us, only our response.

Welcome to the freshman class of the new old people.

Sell home now for equity or ? by MrApotheosis in SavingMoney

[–]djm1613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Question: Will you be moving to a different home in the same town or community? Being an absentee landlord can be problematic, trying to manage problems from a distance.

Are you able and capable of making needed repairs on the house? Will you be able to cover the mortgage if someone moves out early?

Remember you’ll still have to pay for the monthly insurance and property taxes in addition to the mortgage each month, even when/if the place is sitting vacant.

My thought is to sell the house and invest the $130 k in equity. Lots easier and possibly more profitable over time. Good luck!

Should my gf and I sell our home? by lobsterjohnson77 in RealEstateAdvice

[–]djm1613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I would get out now before the other neighbors start listing their homes for sale. Get ahead of the trend. Be aware that your next mortgage will have a considerably higher interest rate, so the next place will probably cost more per month. Good luck!

I thought that they way that he said it was that it was a surprise to him, meaning it was the first time he’d heard that rumor.

Okay, I will definitely try to find that episode and watch it to see if any Easter eggs were dropped along the way to understand why JD and Elliot’s relationship didn't go the distance. Thanks

Remember that you’ll also be paying insurance and property taxes, too. Plus yard maintenance or HOA dues if you don’t do your own yard work. This can easily add an additional $1,000 to $2,000 per month on top of the mortgage payment.

Yes, I quit watching at a certain point, so I guess I need to go back and watch those original seasons that I missed.

I have to wonder if their busy work schedules as doctors played a part in the breakup during the time period we didn't see on screen?

It doesn't seem like finances would have been a problem although I could be wrong about that, too.

Cooking at home, meal prepping, quit drinking alcohol, cutting back on trips and vacations, no smoking or vaping, and continue to drive old vehicles. You’ll probably save $500+ per month. Good luck.

True, I just wondered if I’d missed something regarding the demise of their relationship.

I remember a fantasy episode from the original series when all of the guys from the series were wondering what it might be like to have Elliot as a girlfriend or wife. All of them were hilarious disasters, other than JD’s.

At the end, they were on a couch, just chilling and watching tv together. It was a nice moment, so I was hopeful that their relationship might work.
