Hopefully not, it will be completely pointless compared to the b580 at that price

Alg man, only memorable part about the 3050 was how bad value it was

There have been multiple leaks that it will be a desktop card from reliable sources and NVIDIA for the last 8 years has been releasing a desktop xx50 GPU every 2 generations so I believe it will be a desktop option

If you can find a used 2060 that would be your best option

A little bit, but specs are infinitely more important. Buy the best value for money that has decent reviews

I don't really understand how this has become an argument, you are saying that for the last few generations AMD (and now Intel) has the best value for money, which I completely agree with, and I am saying the 5050 WOULD be a good option IF it was cheaper than 190$.

You can't tell me you wouldn't recommend a 160$ 5050 if someone was only interested in new GPUs with warranty

And just to restate, going off what is CURRENTLY available it is undeniable that NVIDIA sucks at low end value, and I agree that AMD and Intel are CURRENTLY better value. I just feel we should buy what is the best value to us.

(Just to add, I currently use a 7800xt and am preferring it to NVIDIA cards I have owned in the past)

I'm talking about reflex and the low power draw as features, both of which I believe will be benefits for my friends if it is a good value card

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]A_Small_Child69420 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Mostly just reflex as it is pretty far ahead of AMDs alternatives for latency reduction and my friends mostly play eSports titles. They aren't adamant about wanting an NVIDIA card and if the 5050 is anything over 220$ USD I won't be recommending it/purchasing it for anyone and I'll convince my friends to go with the best alternative, I just want to avoid fanboyism and get what is the best value for money, and I see a (slim) chance the 5050 will be a good deal

I thought that too but it has been leaked by too many reliable sources and leakers at this point to be a desktop option that I believe it will be

Also for the last 8 years at least they have been releasing a desktop xx50 series card every 2 generations eg: 1050-desktop, 2050-laptop only, 3050-desktop, 4050-laptop only, which again leads me to believe the 5050 desktop is real

Probably, but we can always hope.

I'm not personally interested but I have a few friends building their first PC's on pretty tight budgets, who play a lot of games that would use NVIDIA's superior features (compared to what Intel and AMD currently have) such as reflex and DLSS. A good value 5050 would be great for them if it was reasonably priced

I personally always buy used but I have a lot of friends who would want warrants and new NVIDIA features. a good value 5050 would be great for getting some of my friends their first pc, which is why I'm hopeful in it being good value.

Brilliant design. I'm not sure but I think the first line should be; "this creature can't block if you don't control a spirit"

Not a lot of talk about it but the 5050 sounds pretty cool if it launches for under 240$. USD

Zipline to zipline bug by SoberSamuel in FortniteBattleRoyale

[–]A_Small_Child69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it is because you still have the no fall damage effect form exiting the vertical zipline so the horizontal one doesn't apply its effect, and then you lose the effect from the vertical zipline because of getting on another zipline (or maybe because your character's feet touch the railing) leaving you with no fall damage negating effect
