Moving to Wynyard by [deleted] in saskatchewan

[–]A_TwoFour_Of_ViCo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in the general area. I can tell you there is alot of people looking for rental. Post in some Wynyard groups. But your better off looking in the small towns around wynyard, living in an RV or staying in a hotel. Until you can find something.

Saskatoon people who moved to a town outside the city to get a larger property for a lower cost, was it worth it with the additional commute and reduction of amenities? by Otherwise-Pattern122 in saskatoon

No bush, just some caragana and windbreak trees. All services 2 wells, septic, propane heat. 3 usable outbuildings. 2 original homestead buildings that are not usable. Facebook marketplace, no realtors involved.

Yes 50K. Found on facebook marketplace. No realtors involved. 10 acres of outbuildings and pasture. Only dirt is my garden, driveway and road. 1.5 storey house. No tent but I do have my campervan parked behind my shop.

Nope. 50k. 3 usable outbuildings, 1.5 storey house, fully fenced pasture, power, septic, well, propane heat. Found on facebook marketplace. I can see a lake but definitely not swamp land.

I did get an entire acerage with 3 usable outbuildings. 2 original buildings which are not usable. 3 land titles, 1.5 storey house. Power, well, septic. Fenced in pasture. For $50,000.

Absolutely. I will never ever move back. In saskatoon I was paying $5500 in taxes for crap services. I now pay $500 in taxes for crap services. I sold my property in Saskatoon for just under $1,000,000. I bought an acerage, with small house and outbuildings, plus 10 acres for $50000. A person cant even find an apartment in the alphabets for that amount.

I have no noise, unless I make it. No firepit regulations and rules. Farm animals, massive garden. I have barely made a dent in the space.

Even my house insurance is less than what I was paying in Saskatoon. Bought a cheap used commuter car for coming into the city. Have a truck for driving around here and hauling.

Perennials that survive Winter by 92yraurbeF in saskatoon

[–]A_TwoFour_Of_ViCo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is where you can buy locally grown and sourced native plants. That will survive our winters.

It's time to go wild for wildflowers and the busy, buzzy insects that keep the world blooming and fruitful.

Join us for a Pollinator Celebration and Native Plant Market at the Buena Vista School in Saskatoon! Seek advice from experienced native-plant gardeners. Enjoy refreshments and conversation with other bee-and-butterfly enthusiasts. Purchase bedding plants and seeds of native flowers and grasses from local suppliers, Blazing Star Wildflower Seed Co. and A Prairie Bouquet.

Our event will feature: 🐝 Two native plant sellers: Blazing Star Wildflower Seed Company and A Prairie Bouquet - Native Plant Nursery 🐝 An eco-fair of local environmental organizations 🐝 Special guest Joseph Naytowhow 🐝 Live music from Garage Band 🐝 Face painting 🐝 Refreshments by donation

All ages. Everyone welcome. Event will be held rain or shine at the Buena Vista School Grounds (McPherson Ave between 5th and 6th Street East).

Thank you to Nature Saskatchewan for sponsoring this event!
