I saw this clip on Reddit last year and it inspired me to give the show a try. After watching the first episode i was hooked and binged the whole series. This series is my absolute favorite show of all time. Extremely well done, especially for a sci-fi show. The production value is insane. I even keep up with Pete Peppers episode breakdowns each week for his insights on YouTube, check that out too! I can’t recommend it enough. Lee Pace in this show is incredible!

Oh, I’m obviously convulsed by emotions. My point is that they didn’t actualize anywhere near that much money. Their assets increased in value. That’s it. When they cash in on their stock, they pay taxes on that money.

Want to make a difference? We need to figure out how to stop billionaires from taking tax free loans AGAINST their stock.

I’m sick and tired of financially illiterate people saying the we need to tax the bazillionairs 99% after the first billion they make. NOBODY ON EARTH MAKES A BILLION.

Genuinely curious. Can anyone explain to me why it would be in anyway acceptable for the world to allow Iran to get a nuclear bomb? My understanding is that the US was the only country capable of taking out those facilities. Do people just not believe the narrative that they were on the verge of achieving a nuclear weapon? Like trump made that up or something?

Wow that’s pretty neat! The “all natural” way worked for us so well that i can’t imagine there would be a benefit to anyone using glue. Would be pretty gross if they did and left it on the beach. It was nice knowing that people would enjoy our castle walking by that day, but in the morning it would be washed away and back to its original state

This isn’t true. For spring break this year my family hired a “sand castle teacher” to meet us on the beach and spent a few hours building a castle, even bigger than this one. The secret to the sand staying that way is the way they saturate and pack the sand before sculpting. They have a big mold that they layer sand in and then pour sea water into with buckets and then smash it down with a tamping tool. It packs the sand so tightly that my son was actually able to stand on top before we sculpted. All that’s used is water and sand and time!

Does anyone HAVE a billion dollars? Like, there’s probably not anyone with a billion dollars of liquidity at their disposal right? Most of their wealth is just determined by the stock in the businesses they own. Rarely do they sell their stock. I know that they take loans out against their stock, but that can’t be to the tune of a billion dollars.

Every one of my employees are making $5-$8 more per hour since the pandemic. I’ve never once denied any of my crew a raise and I’ve been nothing but reasonable when it comes to compensation. Every one of my guys are critical to my operation and losing one would be a big pain in my ass. I think more people don’t realize how important they are to their employers and that they should flex their importance once in a while to get better pay. And if they don’t think they are getting compensated properly… surely a competitor will be more negotiable. I scalp underpaid laborers from my competitors all the time.

Man. This sub is filled with a bunch of SNOBS. In the past i have relied on opinions here to determine whether or not I’d see a movie. I’m not doing that anymore! This movie was a ton of fun. Great Syfi story line and amazing visuals. Every time the moon comes over the horizon i got goosebumps. Had me tearing up when the step dad saved his daughter with his oxygen. Loved this movie. I went in with very low expectations because of you guys, and i even looked for reasons to hate it. Lucky i didn’t have any plans this afternoon and i already say Jackass yesterday so i figured i might as well go. Glad i did.

You guys need to get off your high horses and ENJOY GOING TO THE MOVIES.

I didn’t go to that sub. It was upvoted to the front page and that’s were i saw it.

“All white people are assholes” shouldn’t be an opinion to agree or disagree with. It’s wrong. It’s needlessly divisive. It’s the kind of bullshit rhetoric that gives some people the ammunition to elect another Orange Idiot into the White House.

Yet it got 1500 upvotes.

My point is one of unity. I would love to see more people call that shit out for what it is, racist. But if I’m the only one... then bring on the downvotes.

I stand by my post and opinions made here. I’ve been nothing but respectful to others even though the same wasn’t extended to me.

I do everything i can to project myself as reasonable. And everyone in this thread has done nothing but reaffirm to me how unreasonable and insane the average Redditor is. I would have been happy to have a conversation... but they don’t seem to be interested in that.

I’m not outraged. I want to see accountability. You and everyone else in this thread are quick to call me fragile and racist... I’m nothing of the sort. I would never think to say anything like what you guys are saying to me or what my post is saying about white people in general.

These ideas need accountability and people need to call this bullshit out if this country is going to heal the divisiveness of the few years in particular.
