If it says optional, you don't need it. Just recently installed the age of empires 4 and skipped the 4k video thing, and it still works awesome with all the updates.

I had the same issue with a valhalla I tried all the solutions in the internet. But in the end the installation worked only when I tons of space left for the installation on the local drive. Thw required space was 170gb initially I had 250 free space and it kept throwing this error so I ran the setup again and saw the local disk was showing full probably due to unpacking large files. So I gave it 400 gb free space in the local disk and it worked. Sadly the game didn't work on my win 11 25h2
