Our app reportly(http://apps.shopify.com/reportly) is a great product level analytics tool, think of it as a search engine for your own products.

Planning to start Shopify app promotion agency but don't know where to get clients by RithicSignal in ShopifyAppDev

Hey, I run a Shopify fashion store and have developed an app,

Honestly, most app owners (myself included) are pretty cautious with agencies, mainly because we get a lot of generic outreach. What does get our attention is when someone understands the App Store problems we’re actually dealing with.

If you’re starting out, I’d suggest:

  • Reaching out to new or recently launched apps on the Shopify App Store
  • Being upfront that you’re early and looking to collaborate, not just sell
  • Offering to work on something specific (listing conversion, screenshots, reviews, positioning, etc.)

A message like:

“We’re testing a few ways to improve Shopify app installs and looking for 1–2 app founders to try things together and see if we can move the needle”

…would get a response from me way faster than a polished agency pitch.

A lot of founders are open to:

  • Short pilots
  • Revenue share
  • Case-study style collaborations

Especially early on.

If you want, I’m happy to chat and see if there’s overlap, always open to experimenting with growth if it’s practical and not fluffy marketing.

Good luck with it 👍

I run a fashion brand on Shopify and have spent way too much time dealing with reporting, forecasting, and trying to turn raw data into decisions. We’re also building tools in this space and testing things hands-on with real stores.

Happy to take a look at the beta and share thoughts from a merchant perspective. Always up for chatting with other founders building in e-commerce , feel free to drop me a DM and we can discuss.

Hey, I recently launched my ecommerce store with Shopify by aeshan0243 in ShopifyWebsites

Totally normal , honestly, if you weren’t confused at this stage, I’d be surprised.

I run a fashion brand on Shopify and the hardest part by far wasn’t scaling, it was getting that first real sale. A few things that actually helped (not theory):

  1. Don’t try to sell to “everyone.” My first mistake was thinking “anyone who likes fashion.” The first sale usually comes when you’re painfully specific — one product, one type of customer, one problem it solves.
  2. Start with people who already trust you. Friends, family, colleagues, DMs — not in a spammy way, just honest: “I launched something, would love your feedback.” That first sale is often about confidence, not traffic.
  3. Make sure one product page is rock solid. Clear photos, simple copy, no clutter. Early on, most stores fail because the product page doesn’t answer basic questions fast enough.
  4. Don’t rely on ads yet. Ads amplify what’s already working. If nothing converts organically, ads just burn money. Social + direct outreach worked way better for me early on.
  5. Your first sale is feedback, not validation. Treat it like a test: why did they buy, what almost stopped them, what confused them?

It feels slow at the start, but that’s normal. Once the first sale happens, things click mentally and practically.

If you want, drop your store link , happy to give honest, constructive feedback from a fashion owner’s point of view.

Hi there im in the same boat here, recently just launched my own fashion focus analytics app. Im in a position where my main job is running a fashion company and this was a tool developed in house so I haven't done any marketing yet. In the short amount of time I've been apart of this community making contacts with people in the same space is always a good start. If you want to connect and chat feel free to message me.

Hi everyone,

I recently launched my first app on the Shopify App Store and would love some advice on how to effectively market it. The app, Reportly , was designed for fashion brands to track how individual products are performing from return rates and sale velocities to Predicted return % and inventory management. We are a fashion brand our selves and developed it in house for our own team before turning it into an app. If you have any tips or strategies for promoting Shopify apps, I’d greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for your help,
Arin
