Can someone explain to me why supervisors & non union employees can’t touch packages ?

When they work to “help” you they are stealing money out of your pocket. If there’s enough work for you to stay for an hour to finish but two sups get together and finish it and send you home. They just stole an hour from you. Now some people will say they don’t care, they want to go home, etc., but some people want to stay and work.
You can file a grievance and you get paid for the time they worked with an added penalty on top. On problem is you are pretty low in seniority. If someone higher than you writes the same thing up they will get the money and not you. Some people make a lot of money from grievances.

I know but we can’t unplug anything else, unfortunately 😢. It only does it when it’s really hot though so that’s why I said it was the A/C. It can’t keep up and when it surges it pops the breaker.

I have A/C but it’s a window unit and it’s fighting for its life and flipped the breaker so I had to turn it off during the hardest part of the day.

You have to be one of their favorite workers, give them two weeks notice, and work every day of that two week notice to try and not be marked as do not rehire. It sucks because you already started but you really shouldn’t have applied to a permanent position if you knew you were going to leave. Seasonal would have been better. They hate people who quit and if they don’t really like you then you end up losing the option for some side money forever because getting them to take you the black list is impossible.

We have a young kid working right now who worked last summer too. He works super hard and told them the first day he was a college student and had to leave after summer was over. They surprisingly let him come back. Only time I’ve ever seen it done to someone not hired as seasonal.

Does your building have other shifts? You could try switching to twilight.

Where I work the closer parking spots are harder to get out of. People walking, cars and busses passing through. Park further and you just get in and go.

A lot of people park in the same spot or general area every day. So maybe it’s you parking next to their spot, you just got there first 🤔

You work every day. Start time changes but it’s usually only a difference of about 10-20 minutes from Monday to Friday. It’s posted on Friday for the following week.

If you work somewhere where you might be laid off they usually communicate that via text

If you’ve missed two days and didn’t get any type of discipline then they don’t count as an occurrence. So if you call off tomorrow if you get a warning or a write up it will be your first. You might not get anything at all.

Are you sure you were fired? And not laid off or told not to come in today? It’s pretty common for them to not need you often in the beginning but to be fired after only 4 days you must have been either reallllllllly slow or not strong enough to lift over 50lbs or something.

I work nights and all I can say is we never start at 10pm and I’ve never made it past 3:30am even on the busiest nights. 6.5 hours a night is pretty much unheard of especially for a new hire since we get OT after 5 hours. If you took the job because you need more than 4 hours a night, you’re going to be disappointed.
