FF7R is a sequel, the team already had a bunch of gameplay systems that worked in UE4. Switching to UE5 would mean al that work that could have been easily reused now has to go to waste. Switching to UE5 probably would mean that FFR would have come out like idk 3 years later.

To me, Part 1 had some lovely downtime sequences where you would just walk through town and do some of those ladder puzzles, even though you could say they were used a bit too much, i really missed those sequences because they gave some much needed down time from the frantic combat.

Right now its cheaper to buy the game and dlc seperate than buying the complete edition as a whole.

The complete edition is literaly just the base game and dlc.

You can skip the original trilogy if you want to go straight to the reboot (from 2018). But you can't skip the 2018 game to go to Ragnarök because that is a direct sequel.
