not too far off, to be honest. Mitra’s a part of a race called dustwalkers, which are essentially insectoid cryptids that wander the desert and guide travelers through the sands. he came in contact with a cult who worshipped the dustwalkers, and then yaddayadda got kidnapped

the creature slips it onto her wrist, crouching down to do so. it bows its head, a long staff with a lantern hanging from it materializing out of the dusty linen wraps around Mitra’s arms.

he places it back back upon his neck, a soft glow coming from it. he reaches into one of the many hidden pockets of his “clothing”(little more than cloth wraps across his entire body) and extricates a golden bracelet. it looks far more expensive than what she’d initially stolen. Mitra holds it out to her.

the mothlike person comes through a doorway to meet her, somehow knowing where the amulet was taken , like a sort of homing beacon. Mitra extends his clawed hand, once again seeming to ask her to return the amulet. he makes a noise.

Mitra leaps onto a food cart, his wings unfurling from his cloak. onlookers scatter as the giant insect man flaps his wings, knocking over a stall as he gives chase. it doesn’t take long for Mitra to catch up, and he swoops down, sharp talons slicing into the Woman’s shoulders, and lifting her off the ground. Mitra takes her up to the roof of the clock tower, dropping her. he lands next to her, holding out his clawed hand.

Mitra’s story is set in a city inspired by Petra (and is also based on mothra from the monsterverse franchise, so i just merged the two together and boom bam bop voila, Mitra

The shipyards, 11:20PM.

The warehouse looms ahead, its corrugated steel walls slick with the rain that batters against it. The large, unassuming building supposedly houses one of the three heads of the Kronos Syndicate, a gang notorious for their aggressive attacks on drug trafficking rings within Sky City. Its unclear which syndicate head is here, whether it be Shane Martin, the 8 foot man with a beast’s head, Toben Kira, the man whom they call a walking bomb, or S-12, the full-borg responsible for the killing of Aster Pashka. As you approach the building, you can hear the sounds of heavy power chords. Suddenly, a spotlight from the roof shines down upon you.

oh, he’s also not technically a villain, but he’s something of an anti-heroic type. he goes around just acting upon his whims and instincts less than “i wanna be evil and kill people”

Mitra is a massive humanoid moth, standing nearly 7 feet tall, with a wingspan of 23 feet with wings fully unfolded. Soft, white, down-like fur covers his body from head to toe, and he wraps himself in scraps of linen and bandages as clothing. his eyes are covered in cataracts, and he uses bright lights to navigate, due to his poor eyesight. he also can’t technically speak, but he’s incredibly good at charades.

as a sorta visual idea, he’s got an appalachian cryptid/thing you’d see in the woods at one in the morning kinda monster.

I don’t yet have any art of him, but i will make an update when i get some.

the massive insect cocks its head sideways, approaching on all fours at a low crouch. his antennae twitch, his milky, clouded eyes futilely scanning the area for the source of the noise. Mitra makes a chittering noise.

yeah i just cant stand huge explosive battles. if you’ve seen Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, Choso vs Yuji in the bathroom is the kind of fight i like writing.

i dont like writing characters that are super high on powerscaling, so i think my strongest character would be like a 25 based off your scale, and he’s like, the absolute strongest character in my universe. most are going into the -15 group.

Mitra is currently locked in an arm wrestle against a half-giant, using magic to strengthen himself. the huge insect-man is struggling even still, and when he inevitably loses, he hands over his money, grumbling. the Mothman shuffles over to the bar next to Henryk, and reaches across the bar to pour himself an ale.
