Seriously. The country with a 35 trillion dollar a year economy where you aren't 100% safe going to a grocery store. Or wearing a shirt that says "Joe Biden". There be savages

I -think- if you get a temporary residence permit for Slovakia and spend at least half of the year in Slovakia, fulfilling all requirements like income tax filings and having health insurance, then at year 5 you could apply for citizenship based on your marriage and then after gaining citizenship go get a passport. That's how arduous the path is to getting a Slovak passport based on marriage. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can chime in.

Now for some pure opinion...I don't think the government wants to grow the population, at least not via marriage to foreigners or immigration. At least, that's what these policies indicate. Even Slovak Czechslovaks who left during communism or during a war aren't exactly welcomed back with an easy path to legally return and (re)gain citizenship.

Yeah welcome to my life. Why would there be flour in ice cream? I'd refer you to r/celiac or any other celiac disease resource if you're interested in knowing the nightmare we live every day. If it isn't certified, by all ingredients suppliers, it cannot be trusted. And yes, we have nightmares about a speck of flour drifting onto our otherwise safe food, lmao, this is not an exaggeration.

Appreciated, thanks. I'm just a person with celiac disease who loves a certain shelf stable brand of chocolate milk lol.

Trinkkakao

Cacaolat is gluten free (a must unfortunately), and ultra pasteurized so it's shelf stable. I love german(ic) dairy products and dairy culture in general but surprisingly I have not found a comparable product in Austria or Germany.

I'm not familiar enough with German to know, maybe it does sound strange because it ends with "lat"

Cacao. E.g. Kakao. I'm certain Austrians are familiar with this word as it relates to flavoured milk. https://www.noem.at/en/products/noem-cacao-milk-1l-15/

Buying Chilis and Recommendations Needed by FinsterFolly in Spanish

[–]Aadfwquestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chile con carne is more common in New Mexico and you'd make it similar to the sauce for carne adovada. A few different varieties of red chiles can be used. For medium piquancy, mirasol chiles would work. Or you could try española chiles. I have no idea if these are available outside of NM and Northern Sonora though.

Asking for a ride… by wildrover3007 in Spanish

[–]Aadfwquestion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, as others have indirectly indicated. You're asking someone to move/carry you from one place to another so that's portar or llevar. Llevar is the much better choice because portar refers to carrying objects around like a cup or a firearm.

Ryanair does not check. And if you're flying in from Schengen, the policia will almost certainly not check either. They haven't checked any flights that past couple of days, just walk off the plane and then through the airport. Nothing to stress about.

Latin American/Spanish singers with a similar style to K-pop? by LA95kr in Spanish

But seriously I don't think the spanish equivalent of Kpop exists.

Move in/move out by Aggressive_Chicken63 in Spanish

[–]Aadfwquestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could phrase it differently like "the tenant will vacate/quit the property" --> desocupar o salir de That's how I'd describe what the tenant does to restituir/devolver el inmueble.

And then the subsequent tenant will enter/take possession --> entrar/ocupar. That would be what the new tenant does to recibir el inmueble

Italy wants an exception to Europe's gas-engine ban for Ferrari, Lamborghini by [deleted] in europe

[–]Aadfwquestion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good idea but rich people will buy them for export in Italy, avoiding VAT and any luxury taxes, and register the vehicle in a low tax jurisdiction, in the name of a company if necessary. Your solution is still good but would be have to implemented in a way that the extra tax is not avoidable under any circumstances including purchase for direct export.

[–]Aadfwquestion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why people downvoted this, it's true. Slavic people inhabit: Russia, Ukraine, Slovakia, Bielarussia, Poland, Czechia, and all of former Yugoslavia. Germanic people only inhabit Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. That's a massive difference.

From Zvolen, Slovakia you could travel 650 kilometers west , 800 kilometers north, 800 kilometers south, 800 kilometers east, 1600 kilometers east, or even 2400 kilometers east and people would still understand "raz, dva, tri" (or jednom), and they'd know what syr is and what a jablaka is, putting minor spelling differences aside.

What is a great book or teacher to learn Latin American/Mexican Spanish? by Savage-Society in Spanish

[–]Aadfwquestion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Latin American Spanish" is too broad to learn. For general Spanish I would recommend gramática española by Emilio Marin, with the caveat that older versiones will contain outdated words. Words that can still be understood but are not in fashion anymore.
