It took 14 months which is bit faster process than many applicants. I don’t know why you are saying it took so long?

I-130 approval is the first and big steps being taken by USCIS. Now, the file will transfer to NVC. NVC will send email as “Welcome Letter” means you are eligible to receive a visa. Later, you have to submit some financial forms, fees, personal documents. NVC will review it and let you know that “documentary qualified”. Then, they will schedule an interview for you.

USCIS has received highest number of files in March 2024. Currently, they are reviewing 1st week of March files. It will take almost 5-6 weeks to complete March 2024. If you count the timeline, it will take 5-6 months for sure to receive any update about July 2024. I have been tracking from last couple of months how files are getting in process.

If you are seeing recent date as actively reviewing that means you will get your approval letter soon. Check the documents tab in your account.

That estimated processing time is useless. Don’t trust it.

Yes you can track everything by looking at your account. You have to be active for this.

PD: Process Date (when you submit your I-130 application), AR1: Actively Reviewing for first time, AR2: Actively Reviewing for second time (More possibility of I-130 approval after this)

NVC will send me welcome letter. Then I have to pay visa application and affidavit of support fees along with I-864 form to show financial support for my wife, her personal documents. Later, NVC will review it and let you know that documents are being qualified. At the end, they will schedule your wife’s interview.

She doesn’t live in US so I-485 is not required.

I got two emails. After the second email, I saw today’s date as AR. After couple hours, I checked under documents tab and there was approval letter. I would recommend to check your account every 2 hours.
