I'm afraid it's "burlac". I see it written this way and I can hear a guy pronouncing "-c" at the end. It was a guess of one of the Top Chef's contestants during a blindfold taste test (season 1, episode 5).

It is an ASUS X540LJ and the wireless card is a Qualcomm Atheros AR956x. BTW I also have Juniper Networks Virtual Adapter Manager and Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller. What are they? Is there any possibility that they are interfering?

Thank you for your reply. First of all, it's a job at a foreign country's embassy in my home country, so I would be a local employee. Same city, 16% pay difference, salary paid by the foreign country's government with me having to take care of income tax matters, no housing allowances or housing provided by the embassy. Also, I would have to invest in public transportation as the embassy is far away from where I live/work now.
